WATERPROOFING
METHODOLOGY
(Terrace, Podium Slab, Sunken Slab and Chejja)
Dura Materials and Services LLP
1) SURFACE PREPARATION :
Surface preparation should be made & fungus
loose particles should be removed cleaning
with the brushes and solvents. Surface will be
cleaned with solvents and with acid, if
necessary creating ‘V’ grooves for ½” for all
visible cracks on existing surface.
2) POROSITY AND VOIDS REDUCTION
(DURA CRYSTO COAT APPLICATION) :
Applying wetting agent as base (acrylic
monomer, co-polymer liquid and crystalisation
liquid) on existing surface and ‘V’ grooves &
cracks, it will penetrate into the concrete, if
the concrete has hair line crack ,(thinner than
invisible cracks) it tends to close them off as it
expands inside the concrete, seals, eliminates
or reduces further cracking and also it
removes water vapour inside the structure
which react with the free lime and calcium
carbonate. It fills and seals the pores and
capillaries to harden and makes the surface
seal proof
3) CRACK FILLING WITH DURA CRACKSEAL
(IF REQUIRED AS PER SITE CONDITION)
All visible large cracks will be opened using a
cutting machine & then filled using Dura
CrackSeal. This avoids further entry of water
into the structure.
4) H & V JOINT TREATMENT:
Cracks will be sealed using suitable patching
mortar. It makes them ideally suited for joint
treatment. Its adhesion is very strong & binds
with the building materials such as concrete.
Thoroughly premix required for pointing
mortars, make up a mixing liquid produced by
mixing Dura ConFlex Part A (Powder)& Part B
(liquid) to produce the desired consistency of
mortar.
5) DURA CONFLEX (F.C.M.) COATING :
Dura ConFlex Part A (Powder) mixed Part B
(Liquid) to reach desired consistency and
applied on the existing structure to get an
even flexible waterproof surface which will
cover all the undulations of the surface &
become an integral part of the structure and
also becomes the base for HDPP mesh
application.
6) NON WOVEN HDPP MESH APPLICATION
(REINFORCEMENT APPLICATION):
Non woven HDPP mesh will be applied on Dura
ConFlex coating as reinforcement to get
durability & protection. It acts as sealer & is
puncture resistant which is of prime
importance.
7) DURA ACRY COAT :
Dura AcryCoat is applied on the existing
structure to get strong greater bondage.
It is applied to provide a waterproof and
weatherproof membrane
5) DURA CONFLEX (F.C.M.) COATING :
Dura ConFlex Part A (Powder) mixed Part B
(Liquid) to reach desired consistency and
applied on the existing structure to get an
even flexible waterproof surface which will
cover all the undulations of the surface &
become an integral part of the structure
and also becomes the base for HDPP mesh
application.
