Dear dad,
How are you? How is mom? Hope are you doing well. I am also doing well here.
I am writing this letter to inform you about dangers of canned food. I actually worried about your
health because you always use canned food whenever you like. You should avoid use canned food
everyday cause it will affect your health.This is because salt and sugar are sometimes added
during the canning process.Some canned food can be high in salt. While this does not pose a health
risk for most people but it may be problematic for some, such as those with high blood
pressure.They also may contain added sugar, which can have harmful effects. Excess sugar has been
associated with an increased risk of many diseases, including obesity, heart disease.
Then , dry canning food also unsafe. Even dry foods contain moisture. This is because common foods
like dry flour, dry beans and even dried fruits contain moisture (water). Placing any food in a heating
oven causes moisture to ‘move’ or migrate towards the surface of the food where the moisture may
evaporate. Moisture migration in dry foods can actually cause pockets of moisture to develop within
a food or moisture to condense on the inside of the container. Once the container is sealed, these
pockets of moisture could support the growth of mold, bacterial spores or even some pathogens.
Furthermore, it has low level food quality. This is because quality of the ingredients are not that
great or the fruits and vegetables look old and stale or not so healthy, then they will be hidden from
the eyes of supermarket shoppers and be forced into a can along with other such low quality food,
cooked up in a mass oven while still inside the can and then shipped all over the world and sold may
be one or two years later from when they were picked and were prepared. Don’t expect the
ingredients inside your canned foods to be of high quality.
Lastly, they contained preservative. Preservatives are used to preserve food items. While some
preservatives are necessary,other can have harmful side effects.Example of positive side effects of
preservatives include the slowing of oxidation in foods.Unfortunately, when it comes to
preservatives,the negative side effects outweigh the good .These preservatives are not drastically
harmful towards healthy people, but they may be harmful to pregnant women, babies, children,
elderly, or anyone that is suffering from a chronic disease.
Based on what I just shared. hope that you always eat health food and avoid using canned food
frequently even I’m far from you. Keep it up. I know you can do this. If we meet ever will sure
celebrate for your success.
