There are sneaky poisons
everywhere, that can TANK your
testosterone.
It might be hard to avoid them all at
once, or you might want to enjoy
yourself from time to time and eat
something unhealthy.
That is understandable.
But the more you can avoid for the
majority of the time, the better it is for
your testosterone levels.
TAP WATER
The water that flows from your tap is most
likely not pure. Other than the well known risks
(lead, microplastics, etc.), there is a good
chance it contains female hormones that don't
get filtered out and act as endocrine
disruptors, lowring your testosterone.
PLASTIC
BOTTLES
While not a food or drink in itself, avoid plastic
water bottles. They are sources of BPA which
is linked to the production of lower
testosterone.
SEED OILS
Stick with olive oil and/or coconut oil if needed.
Stay away from seed oils such as vegetable
oil and sunflower oil.
You can also use butter as an alternative in
many cases.
TRANS FATS
while unsaturated fats promote testosterone
growth, trans fats do the opposite. this type of
fat has been shown to not only decrease
testosterone but also mess with your sex
performance.
HIGH SUGAR
high sugar foods will cause your insulin levels
to rise. as your insulin rises, your testosterone
lowers.
PROCESSED
FOODS
Processed foods are bad for your health in
general and lack the nutrients pure,
unprocessed foods grant you. They're also
likely to be high in trans fats.
ALCOHOL (BEER)
You'll want to stay away from ALCOHOL in
general, you're not only risking the risk of
directly reducing tesosterone through heavy
consumption, but also indirectly through
disturbed sleep.
The worst culprit you'll want to avoid is beer many are a form of ipa, which promotes
estrogen growth.
MINT
(MENTHOL)
Avoid peppermint and spearmint especially.
Both in chewing gum and in mint flavoured
products.
WHITE CARBS
(REFINED)
refined carbs are higher in sugar and are
connected to weight gain - both causes of
decreased testosterone.
FLAXSEED
Flaxseed can affect estrogen metabolism,
disregulating your testosterone levels.
LICORICE ROOT
This root found in candy and other foods has
been shown to significantly decrease
testosterone levels. stay away from it.
