LIFE CYCLE OF PLASMODIUM VIVAX.

LIFE HISTORY…..
Plasmodium completed its life cycle in two phases and
to host asexual phase in human host and sexual phase
in female anopheles mosquito host .
THE LIFE CYCLE OF PLASMODIUM SUBDIVIDED INTO
THREE PHASES…..
1. SCHIZOGONY ….
A phase Of growth and a sexual multiplication are
occuring in man……
It further consists of of two phases …..
A .EXOERYTHROXYTIC SCHIZOGONY ….
The parasite find their way into the blood of a healthy
man along with the salivary secretion of infected
mosquito. At this stage the parasite are called
sporozoites. It is only 0.002 mm long and contain a
nucleusi in the broad middle part. Infected liver cells
and become sphericals and are called cryptozoites. 8
forms a rounded shape schizont which divides by
repeated mitosis and forms cryptomerozoites . When
the effected another liver cells known as meta
cryptozoites.
These are of two types one is micro micrometa
cryptozoites.and macrometacryptozoites.
It takes about 8 to 10 days.
B. ERYTHROCYTIC SCHIZOGONY …It is when the
parasites enter the RBC it forms round shape which is
called trophozoites. It pushes nucleus to the the site
and forms signet ring stage.
After further growth it forms amoeboid stage. With
the help of pseudopodia that opposite digest the
cytoplasm of RBC.After 36 hours ,the trophozoites
that becomes mature.
It is ready for multiple fission and is called the
schizont. Its nucleus divide to form 24 nucleus now it
is called schizozoites. It arrange themselves round the
residential site of class like the petals of rose flower.
This is stage is called the rosette stage . After 48 hours
the RBC becomes weak and ruptures and and patient
feel shivering.
2 .GAMOGONY .,…During RBC infection those
parasites not enter the RBC forms rounded bodies.
Which lack a vacuole and grow more slowly. These
forms sexual forms and called gametocytes. These
are are of two types microgametocytes (male)and
macrogametocytes (female ). These are sucked by
mosquito for sexual reproduction.
Which are not sucked destroy in the blood..
In the stomach of mosquito in forms zygote. Result of
sexual reproduction. Zygote is rounded and
motionless. It becomes elongated and worm like
ookinete . Which rupture the wall of stomach. And
forms hard cyst wall around the zygote . called
oocyst.
