The Fright Night event was held by Riot Games to support and hype up the League of Legends event Soul Fighters. The event was carefully planned and executed by professionals and we, the audience, didn’t experience any technical difficulties during the event. The event took 3 to 4 hours and was full of entertainment, they didn’t circulate on just Video Games but also challenged the players through physical games. I was surprised that Riot Games managed to invite the level designers of American Ninja Warriors to make different kinds of obstacles and challenges. Riot Games also invited different streamers from all over the world to compete with each other, it’s fun rooting for someone you know who represents your country. There were some slight technical errors here and there such as the wrong camera switches like the view is switching to literally a floor for a few seconds. There are also times when the commentators become silent or muted for a moment and it was really awkward. The second game they played was Dodge Ball. It didn’t go as I imagined it would because the game each round was so quick and the victory of each player was very anticlimactic. I think that the stage that they use is small and that they don’t have the space to move and such. But overall it was fairly entertaining. I also wish that we could hear the players’ communication with their team each game, not just so that we know what they’re talking about, but also because it can be very entertaining to see each player’s personality.
