With the utmost enthusiasm, I would like to express my interest in the position for English
Teacher or Homeroom Teacher in your reputed school.
My interest to apply for the position is entirely based on my passion and skills in the field of
creativity and organizing events that requires wise judgment, considered decision and making a
particular ability to relate effectively across the various groups within the School.
I have experience helping students gain their identity and passion which ultimately directed
them towards their goals.
With more than 5 years of experience and actively working in several huge reputed schools
since earning a Master’s Degree, I believe your organization is the place for me to continue to
grow within this profession.
I hope to use my education and skills to help the students in your school learn all they can. I
believe this is a fascinating subject and I have the enthusiasm and creativityto make it
interesting for the students so they want to learn more. I feel that it is importantto take
students on field trips (if possible) so they can relate things within their studies.
As required, I have a demonstrated ability to:

I would want to describe my roles and responsibilities for my current position.
 Identity- To help children identify their skills, passion, roles and Talent.
Collaboration- To give students of all ages the opportunity to work together, creating a truly
cohesive environment and ensuring that age is not a barrier to friendship and collaboration.
 Planning- To plan and prepare courses, schemes of work and individual lessons;
appropriate to the needs, interests, experience and existing knowledge of the pupils in
one's class.
 Setting and Supervising Work by Pupils- To teach a class, sets, groups or
individual pupils, and to set tasks to be undertaken, both at school and elsewhere.
 Marking and Recording-To mark and assess pupils' work and to record their
development, progress and attainment.
 Discipline and Relationships-To take responsibility for maintaining good order, discipline
and respect for others, among the pupils, both inside and outside the classroom;
 Communication with Parents-To build and maintain co-operative relationships with
parents and to communicate with them on pupils' learning and progress, drawing
attention to special skills and talents, as well as to problems or difficulties.
 Competition- The enthusiasm I have seen in the students drives me to find varieties of
activities to engage them and learn. I have learned when kids are really excited about
some activities “they are happier and they tend to learn more”.
What are my responsibilities?
• Being a home room teacher is a rewarding position that requires wise judgment,
considered decision making and a particular ability to relate effectively across the
various groups within the School.
• Advise and cooperate with the Head of Department, Head of Academics and Vice
Principal and other teachers in the preparation and development of courses of study,
teaching materials, teaching programs, methods of teaching and lesson planning and
assessment.
• Observing, assessing and recording each child’s progress.
• Incorporating technology, administers praise and constructive criticism, instruct
and inspire students in Science, English, and Math.
• Keeping a positive attitude towards students and making an appropriate intervention
that enables all students to achieve their potential.
• To contribute to the management of key school events which include orientation,
assemblies, co-curricular, and House event
Pastoral Care
• Advice students regarding appropriate behavior and attitude; both in and outside of
the classroom.
• In appropriate cases, refer students to relevant pastoral care personnel within the
school.
• Meet and inform the Head of Years of issues with the class.
• Initiate contact with teachers and/or parents on issues of pastoral care.
• Encourage and support participation in School activities, sports, and events
