Project seeds germination in 𝐻2 𝑂2
In this project I use pea and black lentil seeds. In each with pea example I have 10 seeds and in
each example with lentil I have 20 seeds. On the right side I have seeds only with water, in the
middle with 15 milliliters of 𝐻2 𝑂2 and on left side 30 milliliters of 𝐻2 𝑂2 .

On the graph we can see that in the experiment with pea seeds the
biggest number of seeds that have germinated we get from example
with only water, after we get 7 germinated seeds in the example with
30ml of 𝐻2 𝑂2 and only 3 in example with only 15 ml of 𝐻2 𝑂2 .
In another experiment with lentil seeds we can see that these seeds
germinated very quickly and on third day all seed were germinated.
So, we can’t see the different in their growing speed, but we can see
that on firs day some of seed were germinated in example with only
water then in another examples no seeds were germinated and if to
look to the length of sprout on sixth day we can see that in example
with only water they are longer then in example there we add 𝐻2 𝑂2 .
But even when length of sprout in example with 15 and 30 ml would
be approximately the same.
So best result we get then we have only water and, and so 𝐻2 𝑂2 gives
some negative effect on seeds. But in experiment with pea seeds we
get much better result in example with 30ml then in 15 ml, so with
increasing amount of 𝐻2 𝑂2 we get better result. It’s because
molecule 𝐻2 𝑂2 consist of 𝐻2 𝑂 and atom O that weakly attached to
other molecule, so we can easily get water + oxygen, which is
necessary for plant growing, from 𝐻2 𝑂2 .
So 𝐻2 𝑂2 has some negative impact on seeds germination in small
quantities, but in more bigger quantities we also can get positive
impact. So, because I didn’t have many 𝐻2 𝑂2 , I got best result in
examples without 𝐻2 𝑂2 , but result for example with 30 ml
of 𝐻2 𝑂2 were better than with 15 ml.
