UCLA ENGLISH MINOR This minor is designed for those students who wish to enhance their major program with the benefits of intensive study of English language and literatures, including a better understanding and appreciation of literatures in English and improvement in critical thinking, reading, and writing skills. To enter the minor, students must be in good academic standing (2.0 grade-point average), have completed English 10A, and (if not already completed), be enrolled in English 10B. All courses used to fulfill requirements for the English minor must be 4 or 5 units and taken for a letter grade. Seminars may not be applied toward the Historical requirements. Limit one seminar per student. When choosing classes to fulfill requirements for the minor, students are expected to select those courses which best reflect their own interests and simultaneously contribute towards a coherent program in literary studies.
