DOCUMENT CHECKLIST FOR AUSTRALIA
☐ Passport (at least valid for the entire duration of your stay in Australia, better 6
months longer)
☐ Visa confirmation
☐ National driving licence (if available)
☐ International driving licence (if driving licence is not issued in English)
☐ Credit card
☐ Proof of travel health insurance
☐ Vaccination card (not mandatory but useful)
☐ Liability travel insurance (not mandatory but useful)
☐ German identification number (for the application to receive an Australian tax
number)
☐ Proof of at least $ 5.000AUD or other currency in the appropriate amount (bank
statement with your name on it)
☐ Flight confirmation for onward flight or additional money in the amount of the
onward flight
☐ Booking confirmation & address of your first accommodation
☐ Emergency telephone numbers (credit card blocks, international health insurance,
your countries embassy, eg.)
These are the documents you need to enter Australia for your Working Holiday. If you were
asked for additional documents during your application for the visa, you have to carry them
with you as well.
Important: Your documents are the most important thing! To start your Working Holiday
with no stress make copies of all your documents! Save additional copies to your cloud!
