Request information from the building owner with a documentation checklist prior to

Site Inspection survey of the building to enable all of the necessary information to be
obtained in order to prepare the Building Survey report.
Further investigations and possible testing dependent of what has been identified
during the survey.

Chartered Building Surveyor who will take the lead consultant role.
ROLES &
RESPONSIBILITIES
Possible third-party sub-consultants will be coordinated by the Chartered Building
Surveyor. Third party sub-consultants to include, Mechanical and Electrical Engineer,
Environmental Audit and Cladding/Facade Specialist.

1. Pre-Inspection checklist and request to building owner. Establish site
constrictions.
2. Site Inspection/survey.
3. Further investigations and testing might be required.
4. Prepare Building Survey Report.
QUALITY
CHECKPOINTS
Chartered Building Surveyor who will take the lead consultant role.
Possible third-party sub-consultants will be coordinated by the Chartered
Building
Surveyor. The third-party sub-consultants depending on the client instruction
may
include;
• Mechanical & Electrical Service Installations inspection - Mechanical &
Electrical Services Engineer.
• Environmental Audits (Phase 1 and sometimes a Phase 2) – Suitably qualified
person.
• Cladding/Facade Survey – Cladding Consultant.
Further investigation and testing might be required depending on what has been
identified on site. This might include material testing for deleterious materials
with
concrete HAC High Alumina Cement, Calcium Chloride, Asbestos together with
a
Structural Engineer’s inspection of a particular issue noted.
