Narrative Report
SECOND LAC SESSION

In connection with Memorandum No. 83 s. 2023 dated October 3, 2023, with subject 2nd
LAC Session, Baliwasan Senior High School – Stand Alone (BSHS-SA) conducted its 2nd day of
LAC Session on October 18, 2023, at Computer Laboratory. The activity started at about 8:30 in
the morning with a prayer followed by the singing of the national anthem which were presented
through a multi-media presentation.
Ms. Michelle K. Villareal, subject group head for the Technical Vocational and Livelihood
department shared the purpose of the activity. She emphasized that this session will empower
teachers, and strengthen their expertise in the areas that would be discussed in this session. After
this, Dr. Judith Mustaham, subject group head for the Humanities and Social Sciences department
started the topic on Test Questions. She discussed the standardized form of test question which
is the Multiple-Choice Test. This test has great versatility in measuring objectives from the level
of rote memorization to the most complex level. She also discussed the parts of the aforesaid
test, its advantages, and on how to construct it.
The topic of budget of work was discussed by Ms. Veejay R. Servando, subject group
head of the Accountancy, Business, and Management department. Budget of Work is the
allocation of lessons or competencies by week and by quarter. This will allows teachers to stay
on track and deliver the list of competencies found in each curriculum guide. Mr. Jul-Ambri B.
Majid tackled about the Item Analysis wherein he emphasized that it is used to assess the quality
and effectiveness of individual items or questions within a test or assessment. Included in the
discussion of Item Analysis are as follows: a) Purpose; b) Importance; and c) Process of Analyzing
each item. He also presented a sample table on how items are being analyzed based on the
parameters of Kelly Truman.
Dr. Deborah E. Bandahala, subject group head for the Science, Technology, Engineering,
and Mathematics department, has shared her insights on the Table of Specifications (TOS). She
emphasized that TOS is the guide in preparing the evaluation tool. Included in the TOS are the
following: a) Topic/Most Essential Learning Competencies (MELC); b) the number of hours
teaching; c) the percent of the item; d) the number of items; and e) the adjusted items. She also
presented a sample TOS in Practical Research and showed how data were inputted.
Lastly, the topic of Mean Percentage Score (MPS) was introduced by Mr. Jul-Ambri B.
Majid and was further discussed by Ms. Pia Fritzie P. Luna, subject group head for Physical
Education. Mean percent scores (MPS) were calculated using the number of learners who got
the correct answer divided by the total number of students multiplied by one hundred percent
(100%).
The activity ended at about 10:50 AM of the even date with a very fruitful result.
