Section 1 - Important safety information Caution: Don’t turn on hazardous consumers via the app when you are not nearby or have a reliable overview of the situation at your facility. If you are not sure, for example, if you turned off your iron, it makes perfect sense to switch off the appropriate power socket, even and especially when you are not on site. You should never turn on power sockets from far away when you are not absolutely sure that hazardous consumers are connected. Section 2 - General Information Who should read this document? This document is for persons, who set up the Smart Home App or use the smart home app to configure, monitor, or control a smart home system. Safety and privacy Your safety and the safety of your properties are our first priority. Therefore, we implemented sophisticated methods to protect your safety and privacy. As an operator, however, you have to pay attention to some basic safety concepts in order to not compromise the safety of your installation. Section 3 - Operation After downloading and launching the Smart Home App, the app will instruct you on setting up your smart home network and connecting all of your smart devices to the app. You should, however, pay close attention to the following important steps: ● ● ● ● The app is in “view only” mode unless you enter your 4 digit PIN. The default PIN is 1110. It is critical that you change the default PIN during the setup process. Failing to change the default PIN might allow unauthorized users to control your smart devices. Section 4 - Configuration Before you can control your smart home devices via the app, it has to be configured first. The Smart Home App was built to walk you through the interactive configuration process. The configuration will be stored on your device and on your Smart Home Cloud account, so you can restore it anytime. In addition, some devices already have a predefined configuration that suits most of the users.
