2. Do you believe that feminism is essential today? why? Or why not
Yes, feminism is essential today. Women continue to face inequality and discrimination in various
aspects of life. Gender-based pay disparities persist, with women often earning less than men for
the same work. Additionally, in some cultures, harmful practices and abuse against women and
girls are still tolerated due to deeply ingrained gender biases.
Feminism is a movement that advocates for gender equality and challenges these injustices. It
seeks to address not only economic disparities but also social and cultural norms that perpetuate
gender-based discrimination. While progress has been made, there is still work to be done to
achieve true gender equality, and feminism remains a crucial force in this ongoing struggle for
women’s rights and empowerment.
3. Are you a feminist? Explain your answer
Yes, I am a feminist. I believe in the fundamental principle that both genders should have equal
opportunities and rights. I firmly hold the view that being a woman should never be considered a
disadvantage. Women, like men, are capable of achieving incredible things, and they should not
be held back by societal biases or discrimination.
I also recognize and appreciate the unique role that women play in bringing life into the world.
This biological aspect should never be used as a justification for treating women poorly or denying
them the same rights and opportunities as men. Feminism, to me, is about advocating for a fair and
just society where all individuals, regardless of their gender, can fulfill their potential and live free
from discrimination.
