Amen. INTRODUCTION Our Lady of Fatima Praesiduim (OLF) is pleased to present its 21st Annual Report covering the period from January 2016 to December 2016. (this reporting period). OLF was established in 1995 at Awali Church now called as the Parish of Our Lady of the Visitation, to cater for the parishioners in the Central part of the Kingdom of Bahrain, particularly East and West Riffa, Aali, Isa Town, Sanad, Nuwaidrat, Sakhir and recently Budaiya and Saar. The OLF was establish on the desire of the then Manama Sacred Heart Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Felicio Denish to serve the apostolate needs of Awali and the nearby areas mentioned above and BDF Hospital. As always, the officers and members of OLF praesidium feel proud and blessed for having been given the privilege to serve in the Legion army of Mother Mary. WEEKLY MEETINGS We meets regularly every Sunday at 6:15 p.m. at The Bishop’s House, preceded by the Holy Mass at 5:00 p.m. by Rev Fr. Roen Encabo or by Bishop Camillo Ballin. OLF meetings has a percentage of 71% (77%) and for the officers' attendance averaged 87% (91.09%) and members' attendance at 67% (74.96%). Members’ attendance fluctuates due to work schedules. PERFORMANCE OF WEEKLY ASSIGNMENTS The OLF continued to be the main source of support for all the parochial activities at Our Lady of the Visitation Parish, Awali. The weekly assignments of the OLF members are substantially composed of parochial works of the Awali Church where 6 obligation masses, 4 weekly masses, and 2 novenas were celebrated each week. Other regular and special church activities such as Parish Holy Hour, Tridum Service, Weddings, Wedding anniversary mass celebrations, Baptism, Confirmation, Cathecism for Children, First Holy Communion, and Confirmation add up to the various activities. The following typical weekly parochial tasks were being assigned to OLF members: Church altar preparation and clean-up before and after every mass (all members) Holy Rosary before mass and 1st Saturday of the month devotion to The Immaculate Heart of Mary. Legionaries lead rosary before mass slowly and meaningfully (2 members) Computer and multi-media projector setup, and operation (3 members) Sound system setup and testing (2 members) Recording and collection of stipend for Mass intentions (1 members) Counting and accounting of Mass collections (1 members) Typing and proof reading of Holy Hour and novena materials (1 members) Management of sacristy paraphernalia and needs (2 members) Eucharistic Ministers (8 members) Lectors (4 members) Lector Ministry coordination & Lectors training (2 members) Ministry of Altar Servers & training the altar servers (2 members) Hospitality ministry (2 members) Watering of church plants/flowers (3 members) Wash and iron finger cloths (2 members) Catechetical instructions (2 members) Choir Ministry – Legion members participate with the church choir: attends choir practice every Wednesday after mass and join in the choir for obligations masses and plays music instrument and sings at ordinary masses. (6 members + 2 auxiliaries) Co-ordination of church announcement (1 members) Preparations of PowerPoint presentations for special masses, wedding masses, novenas, Holy Hour and special occasions (1 members) Transporting of Legionaries and parishioners (6 members) Coordination and sale of church calendars, religious articles, etc. (3 members) The Other Legionary Activities & Parish Functions Assisted: Assisted in various activities of the Parish such the Palm Sunday celebration, the Tridum services (Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Vigil), Easter Sunday, and Christmas celebration (already mentioned before) OLF Catechists assisted Catechism Children in Christmas caroling around Awali Christmas Novena (Simbang Gabi) Intercessory prayers every 1st Monday of the month – all members Block Rosaries (5 groups of 2 members minimum) Awali Catholic Community (ACC) monthly meeting – five active members and one auxiliary member are attending ACC Meetings as representatives of the five other different parish groups. We hope and pray that as we strive hard to give more, He will find us deserving to receive more of his graces and blessings so that we may continue to be inspired and be burning with desire to carry out our Legion mission with greater dedication.
