WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN AN IAS AC472 ACCREDITED COMPANY AND A NON-ACCREDITED?
- Companies accredited with IAS AC472 inspection programs for manufacturers of metal building systems
operate under a documented management system developed in concert with an IAS-accredited inspection
agency that conducts unannounced inspections to verify continued compliance with these criteria. The
management system includes the manufacturer’s written fabrication procedures and quality control manuals
which provide a basis for control of materials and workmanship, with periodic inspections of fabrication and
quality control practices by an IAS accredited inspection agency.
- While a non-accredited manufacturer is uncertain for their quality management system and their inspection
programs.
WHY REQUIRE AN ACCREDITED MANUFACTURER?
Requiring an AC472-accredited manufacturer provides an extra level of assurance that your building
supplier’s engineering/order/design/fabrication processes all conform to high-quality standards and are
evaluated by a respected independent third party.
Other advantages, which expedite the building approval process, include: building officials can deem
AC472-accredited manufacturers as approved fabricators as defined in Chapter 17 of the International
Building Code; elimination of additional inspections; cost savings to verify code compliance of metal building
fabrication; and assurance the metal building manufacturer’s staff has a well-qualified quality system in

REDUCED CONSTRUCTION TIME
All components have been produced in the factory and shipped to
the construction site. Members of the system are erected by bolts,
so the construction time is reduced significantly. It can reduce total
construction time on a project by at least 2/3 in comparison with
concrete buildings.
LARGE CLEAR SPANS
With large spans compared with concrete buildings, pre-engineered
buildings can be used with many applications: supercenter,
exhibition center, airport, stadium, etc.
SAVING COST
With the lighter weight of the steel building system, the structural
elements of the foundation also get lighter and are easy to
construct. With all these, the erection time is short and it helps to
reduce the labor cost.
FLEXIBILITY OF EXPANSION
All elements are connected by bolts, the end plates of connecting
sections have been designed beforehand. So, buildings can be
easily expanded in length by adding additional components.
Therefore, it reduces the overall cost of expansion.
LOW-WEIGHT
The weight of pre-engineered buildings are lighter than concrete
buildings, thus resulting in reduced seismic loads. Besides,
offering higher resistance to seismic forces.

Our factory is located in Hai Son Industrial Zone, Duc Hoa Ward, Long An Province of Vietnam. It is fully
equipped with state-of-the-art tools and equipment. The factory applies an integrated production system and
always pays attention to continuous improvement in order to ensure the highest quality of our products
delivered to clients within the shortest delivery schedule. Our machine systems have been installed in

SAFETY POLICY
Labor safety is a determining factor that ensures World Steel’s employees’ lives and brand name.
The company Board of Labor Safety has implemented various continuous improvement methods to
create the most favorable and safest working environment for its staff as well as to increase
productivity.
At World Steel, the labor safety management system has been built up and been in the process of
perfection. The company currently has in place safety and environment related certificates
internationally recognized such as ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018.

EQUIP WITH SAFETY NETS
Personal protective clothes: to protect welders’ legs, arms and
neck skin. Personal Protective Clothes are made of fireproof or
non-flammable materials. Leather material is the best choice to
avoid worker burns. Gloves must be provided to welders because
hands are part of the body that are easily exposed to welding
flames.
Head protection: Welding helmets are compulsorily needed
when starting welding. Welding helmets help protect against
the negative impacts of UV, infrared rays, welding slag that can
harm the welder’s eyes and facial skin.
CONSTRUCTION SITE SAFETY
Every staff is equipped with Personal Protective Equipment to reduce or eliminate accidents. Every staff
must be accountable for their safety and others.

Long Son Petrochemicals Complex (Long Son Petrochemicals - LSP) is invested by Thailand SCG Group
with a total registered capital of about 5.4 billion USD, located in Long Son district, Ba Ria - Vung Tau

GPPD BATTERY FACTORY PROJECT
GPPD Battery Factory Project is the first project to mark the cooperation between WorldSteel Group and
GPPD Energy Co., Ltd. GPPD is the first company in Vietnam to apply green technology to manufacture
mercury-free alkaline batteries and accessories. It is also the largest manufacturer of dry batteries in Asia
and the base in Vietnam is the third-largest dry battery production plant in the world.
The project has a total area of 30.000m², including many complex categories, very high requirements for

Companies accredited with IAS AC472 inspection programs
for manufacturers of metal building systems operate under a
documented management system developed in concert with
an IAS-accredited inspection agency that conducts
unannounced inspections to verify continued compliance with
these criteria. The management system includes the
manufacturer’s written fabrication procedures and quality
control manuals which provide a basis for control of materials
and workmanship, with periodic inspections of fabrication and

The steel structure fabrication process whether pre-engineered or mid-rise, starts with you telling us the
specifications for your project, including the measurements, quantity, what type of metal or steel grade you
want, and when you need it. We’ll design the project and once we get your approval, we’ll begin
manufacturing. We do all of our design, construction, and manufacturing and oversee each project to
ensure it meets your requirements. Our highly skilled technicians and our state-of-the-art equipment—like
CNC laser cutters, CNC punching machines, and welding machines, etc.—allow us to produce quality

We have our in-house welding engineer, a registered welding inspector from The Welding Institute-UK, a
certified welding inspector or AWS-CWI, a certified welding supervisor from the Canadian Welding Bureau

How is The Company Verify The Purchased Product?
The company establishes and implements the inspection or other activities necessary for ensuring that
the purchased product meets specified purchase requirements. Unless otherwise specified on the purchase
order, the seller shall supply a product conforming to the latest industry revision or the latest revision of the
on file print or specification. Non-conforming purchased product is segregated and clearly marked until
returned to the supplier.

How to Identify and Trace Material?
We have the Identification and Traceability process to control raw material, manufacturing as ID code,
sticker, Hard stamp, QC must inspect and have these record.

How to Control Monitoring and Measuring Devices (equipment + machine)?
The QC tool and the machines, we have calibrated by the calibration agency at specified time and this item
must follow the World Steel Procedure to control and monitor the status of this equipment.

Does The Company Have The Internal Audit?
The Company conducts an internal audit at planned intervals and is effectively implemented and
maintained. The internal audit process:
- Selecting auditors objectively and assigning them to audit work other than their own.
- Findings are addressed with formal corrective action and closed in a timely fashion.

Does The Company Have The Monitoring and Measurement of Products?
The company monitors and measures the characteristics of the product requirements that have been met.
When the company uses sampling inspection as a means of product acceptance of lots whose samples
have known nonconformities. Product is not to be used until it has been inspected or otherwise verified as
conforming to specified requirements, except when the product is released under positive recall procedure
pending completion of all required measurement and monitoring activities.

Does The Company Have The Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) Qualification and Welder
Qualification?
The factory has the WPS and Welder qualification by a third party to follow AWS D1.1 Standard and we will
prequalify the welder, after 6 months.

Our system has control of the nonconforming product by the QA.QC dept. the NCR has written
nonconforming description, proposed correction, root cause analysis and preventive action and evaluation
to improve the system.
