The following Technical Terms and Conditions for Purchase of Equipment add to BMA’s and General Terms and Conditions of Purchase and prevail in case of deviations. Deviating conditions from supplier side will not be acknowledged by BMA 2 GENERAL OPERATING DATA AND LOCAL CONDITIONS 2.1 General information Operating time: 334 days/year, with 24 hours/day Location of operation: Iraq Geographical height: approx. 5 m above mean sea level – to be confirmed Earthquake: maximally 6.5 on the Richter scale – to be confirmed Cooling water temperature: maximally 30°C, filtered river water – to be confirmed Climate: humid, hot tropical climate Temperature: min/nom/max +22 / +33/ +50°C (inside buildings) Relative air humidity: min. 60% up to max. 90% 2.2 Surface treatment - Документ1 Sheets/plates are to be derusted by blasting or manually prior to manufacture. Profiles are to be cleaned. Standard steels: Outer surfaces are to be primed with tropicalised primer coat (preferably with iron oxide phosphate primer) – with a layer thickness of 40 µm, preferred colour: red-brown All parts in contact with the product are provided with a food-safe hardened oil coat Colour for final coating (40 µm) at visible parts for pumps, drives, motors, framework of heat exchangers, etc: preferably sky-blue (RAL 5015-brilliant) + priming Colour for final coating (40 µm) at visible parts for vessels, transport elements, mixers and centrifugals, etc.: preferably signal white (RAL 9003-brilliant) + priming Page 2 of 9 Author: TPA/SAG TECHNICAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR PURCHASE OF EQUIPMENT The special climatic conditions make protective measures such as corrosion and surface protection necessary - All fixing bolts to be loosened for operation are of stainless steel. - The nameplates are made of stainless steel. - The flange bearing surfaces and the shaft ends are to be treated with a temporary antirust agent. 2.3 Long-time storage for drives Drives are to be supplied in such a way that a storage period of maximally two years can be guaranteed without additional measures being required, which means: - VCI (volatile corrosion inhibitors) antirust agent is added to the lubricant. - The drives are supplied with an increased oil level. 2.4 Pumps Pumps are to be offered and supplied completely mounted on a baseplate, including motor, coupling, protective devices (e.g., coupling protection, etc.) and the necessary foundation bolts. 2.5 Heat exchangers Heat exchangers are to be offered and supplied completely mounted (ready for operation), including an installed 30% reserve heating surface, splash-guard, special tools (box wrench) and the necessary foundation bolts. 2.6 Auxiliary devices for assembly - When equipment components are supplied in parts, assembly material such as screws, seals, electrodes, adhesives, etc. is part of the delivery. - Fixing elements such as screws, anchor bolts, dowels, holders, clamps, base frames, etc. that are needed for assembly of equipment are included in the delivery. - Special tools, as far as required for assembly and operation, are to be included in the delivery. 2.7 Machine Directive lines - Документ1 All equipment to be supplied in Machine Directive 2006/42/EG . Page 3 of 9 Author: TPA/SAG TECHNICAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR PURCHASE OF EQUIPMENT 3 INSPECTION The supplier agrees to that the customer sends a representative to the supplier’s works in order to check during usual working hours – in coordination with the supplier – the equipment components during manufacture and/or after completion of manufacture. 4 ELECTRICAL OPERATING DATA FOR EQUIPMENT - Degree of protection for electric drives: IP 55 or higher, class of insulation: F. Annual operating time: 334 days (24 hours / day) Документ1 Page 4 of 9 Author: TPA/SAG TECHNICAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR PURCHASE OF EQUIPMENT The seller has to repair or, according to choice, re-deliver those parts at no cost that turn out to be deficient due to manufacturing defects. The repair / exchange should be performed forthwith. In urgent cases when operational reliability is endangered or to prevent disproportionally high damage, the seller is to be informed immediately and BMA / BMI is entitled to remove the deficiency himself or to have it removed by a third party and to demand compensation for the necessary actions from the seller. For parts repaired or exchanged under the warranty, a new warranty period of 24 months starts after their startup, however, this period will last at least until the end of the original warranty period for the whole delivery. 6 COMPENSATION FOR DELAY In case of delayed delivery of any equipment item, which will lead to a correspondingly delayed completion of assembly, the seller has to pay compensation for delay to customer as follows: 0.5% of the total contract price of each delivery concerned by the week, per week of delay. . The total amount of compensation for delay shall be limited to 5% of the total contract price by the delay. 7 TECHNICAL DOCUMENTATION 1 version in electronic form (CD) in English 1 version in electronic form (CD) in German 5-fold in English 2-fold in German The Technical Documentation (TD) is not to be supplied with the goods, but separately to BMA, to the attention of Mr Salih Agca (department TM. The documentation has to include a list of the wearing parts with all order data required. The Technical Documentation is to be supplied in paper form and in PDF format on CD-ROM. The Technical Documentation is part of our order. The final 10% of the order value will only be paid after the Technical Documentation has been delivered completely. The total scope of documentation includes the documentation for engineering and design, for assembly and for operation and maintenance. Moreover the below documents shall be supplied a) General drawing with indication of constructional dimensions, accessories, connections for pipelines and power supply, battery limits b) Foundation plan including dimensions for foundation and recesses, static and dynamic loads c) Data on process and auxiliary materials including quantities and quality, for steam, water, air, chemicals, oils, greases, etc. Документ1 Page 5 of 9 Author: TPA/SAG TECHNICAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR PURCHASE OF EQUIPMENT d) Assembly drawings e) With sufficient details in order to be able to clearly identify all components supplied and to install them sequentially, and including position and size of all connections f) Descriptions and instructions as far as required as supplements to the drawings g) Sectional drawings including designation and specification of all components, as far as required for operation, repair and spare parts procurement. h) Spare parts lists i) Spare parts catalogues of manufacturers and spare parts drawings j) Technical instructions k) Technical description of equipment l) Detailed operating instructions, including start-up and shutdown of equipment m) Instructions for maintenance and repair n) Regulations for lubrication 8 INSTRUCTIONS FOR SHIPMENT - Freeport The supplier’s delivery note has to state the following mandatory data: - BMA order number Number of packages Dimension (length x width x height in m) Net weigh per package Gross weight per package Detailed information about the content of each package The shipping advice has to designate each single part so clearly that it can be allocated on site without problems by the BMA / BMI or third parties. If the above listed data is missing, the goods cannot be accepted at the receiving department. In case of deliveries of equipment with excess dimensions, such deliveries must be announced six weeks prior to shipment, so that their transport and storage can be scheduled correspondingly. Orders must be supplied in a single delivery. Advance or partial deliveries can only be carried out in coordination with Mr Olle (department ALL). The suppliers have to collect the order items on their premises and to ship them as one lot. Due to problems with capacity, the deliveries must be shipped at the scheduled delivery dates. A delivery ahead of schedule must not be carried out by any means. The technical documentation has to be supplied separately to Braunschweig. No packages will be opened to remove technical documentations. The packing list has to be attached to the package with one copy inside and one outside. All advices, notes and certificates are required in english each. The seller is obliged to prepare a packing list for each package stating the contents, number, designation, item number acc. to specification, net and gross weight, and contract number. 10 MARKING All consignments are to be marked with waterproof colour.
