POSITION SUMMARY The IT Project Manager joins a dynamic Healthcare Analytics and Business Intelligence team and is responsible to manage and oversee all aspects of a technology project to ensure it is completed on-time and within budget. Has overall responsibility for managing scope, cost, schedule, vendors, and contractual deliverables. Work directly with business to define scope and then ensure deliverables fall within the agreed up scope and budget. Develops detailed project plans. Monitors project milestones and generates periodic status reports. Evaluates and manages risk. Incorporates quality measures and standards to project deliverables. Possesses strong knowledge of technology. Work is generally performed independent and collaborative in nature. Contributions to moderately complex tasks within the job function. CANDIDATE PROFILE Education: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Management, or similar discipline from an accredited college or university or equally relevant experience. • PMP is preferred. Experience: • Experience in the Healthcare industry • Experience leading IT projects, preferably with cloud and data warehouse areas of focus • Seasoned experience in managing Software Development Projects using Traditional and Agile Development methodologies • Experience managing projects in tools like MS Project, JIRA, or Smartsheet • Experience leading Azure data-related projects is desirable • Experience with Microsoft products including Project, Outlook, Word, and Excel Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Assessing an organization's technology needs and making upgrade recommendations • Setting short and long-term IT implementation goals • Strong project leadership skills • Providing product ownership/expertise of IT developed solutions • Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management • Knowledge of project management techniques and tools • Proven experience in people management • Proven experience in strategic planning • Proven experience in change management • Ability to work with a diverse group of individuals • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing • Excellent verbal & written communication skills. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 1. Work under the general direction and with oversite from information technology leadership to independently manage Information Technology projects and manage the Information Technology product/project portfolio. 2. Lead a team of software IT professionals and ensure they produce high quality IT products and services. 3. Manage and oversee all aspects of a technology project to ensure it is completed on-time and within budget. 4. Manages, prepares and produces project management reports, timelines, budgets, and documentation 5. Manage software development and infrastructure projects using both Traditional (Waterfall) and Agile Software Development Life Cycle techniques 6. Ensure staff is informed of product upgrades or enhancements in a timely manner 7. Responsible for planning the work, managing a cross-functional team comprised of employees, contractors and vendors at distributed work locations, mitigating issues and risks, and communicating status. 8. Develop and mentor departmental staff by providing career coaching; motivate departmental staff, individually and as a group; understand and support diversity; and establish an effective team. 9.
