Draw the graph of the quadratic function: (10 minutes)
Group 1: f(x)=x2 +2x – 1
Group 2: f(x)=2x2 -3x + 1
Group 3: f(x)=x2 +2x – 1
Group 4: f(x)=2x2-8x+3
Group 5. f(x)=x2 -6x + 5
Steps:
1. Find the vertex and the line of symmetry by expressing the function in the form y=a(x-h)2 + k

2. Plot the vertex and draw the axis of symmetry. On the right side of the line of symmetry,
choose at least two value of x and compute the value of y.
3. Similarly, on the left side choose at least two value of x and compute the value of y.
4. Connect them by a smooth curve.
