THE GOOD SAMARITAN
Tendai wondered where he would go and sleep. He picked up his luggage and
walked out of the bus terminus without knowing what to do. While he was
struggling with his thoughts, a man came up to him and said, “Good evening my
son. How are you”?
“I am very well father”, Tendai answered
“My name is Nyasha Nyabezi. You look troubled son. What is your problem?”
“I am looking for a job and I don’t have anywhere to go in this city”, answered
Tendai.
Okay my son that is not a big problem.
The man promised to help Tendai. He took him to his house in a part of the city,
where many black people lived. The houses were rather shabby and close
together, but better than those in most rural areas.

HANDLE WITH CARE
A fortnight ago, Post Office workers at a Bulawayo sorting office shook in their
shoes when a parcel addressed to Kadoma started buzzing. The parcel which was
marked handle with care began making the strange noise when it was picked up
for sorting. Throwing the parcel down, the handler and his colleague ran out of
the sorting room into the next, heading straight for the telephone. They quickly
called the police who arrived in no time at all. The police acted quickly by
cordoning off the place, thus keeping in the public a safe distance away. They
sent for an expert on bombs.
On arrival, the expert was shown the parcel, which he carefully, unwrapped. What
