COURSE DESCRIPTION:
The course deals with the study of humanities and art. This course will present the different types and
views on art, as well as highlight the theories, conceived by thinkers on the beauty and relevance of art in
the lives of people.
LEARNING OUTCOMES (LO):
On completion of the course, the student is expected to be able to do the following:

LEARNING OUTCOME
Students would be able to familiarize and
appreciate the importance, definition,
elements and uses of art.
Students would be able to familiarize with
the different theories on art, as well as the
perspectives of artists and philosophers in
art-making
Students would be able to familiarize
themselves with the different types of art,
its various subjects and contents, and the
principles and elements of art.
Students would be able to know the art that
prevailed during different points of human
history, and how art evolved throughout the
years
Students would be able to project their
learning and understanding of art by
makinh their own.
