Published sound levels are measured at a CE certified test site and are subject to instrumentation measurement, installation, and
manufacturing variability. The reference SPL is 20 µPa. The reference SPWL is 1 pW (10-12 W). SPLs and SPWLs at 1 meter from a reference parallelepiped creating a hemisphere around the GenSet are measured per the requirements of ISO 3744 and ISO 8528-10.
Exhaust SPWLs at 1 meter are calculated per ISO 6798, Annex A.
An unhoused (open set) configuration GenSet refers to a GenSet with no sound enclosure of any kind. A housed (closed set)
configuration GenSet refers to a GenSet that has a Level II (noise reduction) sound enclosure installed over the GenSet. The Level II
enclosure is integrally attached to the skid base of the GenSet.
The sound data for a GenSet with infinite exhaust does not include the exhaust noise contribution. The exhaust sound data for a GenSet
is solely exhaust noise and does not include noise from any other noise sources.
