ABOUT THE GAME COMPETITION The GOER - Game of Enterprise Risk TM is a proprietary in-person business game competition that will require participating teams to take decisions under pressure in order to safeguard the dummy company against different areas of risks and crises. Teams will use complex problem solving, analytical reasoning, creative thinking, negotiation and relationship management skills as they navigate through each risk / crisis event with risk-intelligence. OVERVIEW AND TIMELINES Round Month Selection Description ONLY FOR EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS 1 August to November This round shall be conducted at your institution in batches of maximum 120 students at a mutually convenient date and time provided the institutions registers during the specified period. Each batch of 120 students shall be divided in teams of 10 students who will then compete to protect the company from risks / crises. More instructions shall be shared upon registration. Duration for running this round: 2-2.5 hours for one batch of 120 students who will be split into groups of ten members (referred to as ‘team’) FOR EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS AND CORPORATE ORGANISATIONS 2 December This round will entail a virtual interview interaction with an IRM Level 5-Certified Chief Risk Officer / Risk Leader FINALE WILL BE RUN FOR THE FOUR CATEGORIES IN SEPARATE ROOMS 3 January This final inter-college round shall be conducted at Mumbai or Pune with all winning teams from Round 2 competing to win the National Game of Enterprise Risk through a rigorous evaluation by an esteemed panel of judges. One or two outstanding teams (comprising of 10 participants in each team) across all batches shall be selected for Round 2 Any one team (or none, depending on the interview) from the winning team(s) from Round 1 shall be selected for the Final Round pan India Corporate organisations should directlynominate one team of 5 people only for this Round One winning team from High School / Junior College (XI and XII), UG, PG and Corporate Organisation respectively shall be declared as the National Winners across four categories: School HE – UG HE – PG Corporate Note: For Round One since IRM shall be sending a risk expert – the institution is expected to bear the basic cost associated with travel and accommodation (only if applicable) for one facilitator. For Round Three / Final Round the respective institution / organisation should bear all costs associated with travel, food, accommodation (if applicable) for the shortlisted team.
