MLA CITATION STYLE
Formatting Rules
Font: clear font (e.g. Times New Roman) + 12pt.
Title page: no need for a title page
Margins: set margins to 1 inch on all sides.
Paper numbers: in the upper right-hand corner
Headings: upper left-hand corner + double spaces+ 4 lines(your name, instructor's name, course, date）

the author-page method using parenthetical citations ( put at the end of the sentence )

the author's last name ( no need when it appears in sentence )

1. with known author : the author ’s last name and a page number
2.with unknown author : a shortened title of the work and a page number

Non-print or sources from Internet :
1.use "qtd. in" to indicate the source you actually consulted

situations when
using resources
1.Author with the same last name: provide both authors' first initials.
2.A work by multiple authors: list the authors’ last names.
3.Multiple works by same author: Put short titles of books in italics and short titles of articles in quotation marks.
