First of all my deepest thanks goes to the Almighty God for his endless help and make me to stay in
life to this day and enables me to complete my internship. I also would like to express my deepest
gratitude to Mr. AKLILU for his enthusiastic support from the preparation until the final discussion of
this internship with frequent follow up my activities and guide me. I am greatly thanks for my family
they had been assisted and to give advice how can I goes with my planning activity to finish my

Abstract
In my intern i visit to the largest exporter of allana certified meat in Africa was organized on
August 15th, 2018. Frigorifico Boran Foods is located in Mojo, Having a capacity to slaughter
3,000 cattle and 6,000 goats daily, this Indian company represents an 80 Billion USD
investment. The company decided to invest in Ethiopia because Ethiopia has the highest
population of livestock in the continent, and the fourth largest livestock population in the world.
Core products include chilled and frozen goat and cattle carcasses.
Annually Ethiopia exports millions of live animals, and with them, we export all the jobs and biproducts associated with animal slaughter. Local value addition in the meat sector is very
important for jobs and foreign exchange. “At Frigorifico Boran Foods, our only un-used biproduct is sound!” As such the company is exemplary in resource efficiency and practice of
circular economy. Blood is dried to make chicken feed; horns and hooves are ground up also for
animal feed; hides are salted and sold as inputs to the Ethiopian leather industry; the grass in the
animal intestines is burned as fuel; inedible organs like lungs are solar dried and sold as pet food.
And also in the company is huge and fast that have many departments that correlated help each
other and in the intern program the try to show me about things that relate to fiancé Activities
but the major fiancé activities(transaction) are paid in the head office located.other than petty
cash payment only. The payroll is made in the head Office only that the branch office is only
send the attendance to the Head office branch.

INTRODUCTION
1.1 Background of the company

The Consumer Products Division (CPD) of the Allana group has a wide array of products in
both B2B & B2C business segments to cater to the needs of end consumers & industries.
As a whole the company have many business segment Frozen Meat, Chilled Meat, Retail, Fruit
Pulps, Coffee ,Wheat & Grains ,Animal Nutrition, Pet Food ,Hides Edible Oils, Bakery,
Distribution .Logistics Africa Proteins. In the case of my inter branch is located in mojo and the
main business Segments are the Frozen meat , Chilled meat, pet Food.
The main suppliers of the company are those Traders / Individual’s animal supplier’s . and the
main customers are as I mentioned before those are found in out side country because mainly
exports this Products to those Arabian countries :- Silver Trading PLC, Alkerama General
trading PLC , Hawadir General Trading PLC, Gulf Butures General Trading PLC etc….

1.2 Background of the department in which you were Assigned
In the very beginning I was assigned in Finance department. As I tried to mention at the
beginning the major transaction are approved by the head office.
SCOPE
The Finance Department officer shall report to the Chairperson. She/he shall be
responsible for providing financial, administrative and clerical services. This Includes
processing and monitoring payments and expenditures of the fair trade premium,
providing these services in an effective and efficient manner will ensure that municipal
finances are accurate and up to date, that all payments are paid in a timely and
appropriate manner and that vendor and suppliers are paid within established time limits.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Receive and verily invoices and requisitions for goods and services

Verify that transactions comply with financial policies and procedures

Prepare, verity, and process invoices and coding payment documents

Prepare batches of invoices for data entry

Data enter invoices for payment 4 Process backup reports after data entry

1.3 Description of the job on which U were Assigned
JOB TITLE: Finance
JOB Description: to cross check The over all suppliers meat that that they provides
animals in kilo with recorded in the excel sheet.
Chapter TWO Presentation and analysis
2.1 Strengths observed on the job You were assigned
The main strength of the Company fiancé department is that every transaction is going to be
sent the head offices of 85 country company that is found in india. And also to the owner of the
company immediately after the transaction is made online and in case there was an error also
corrected as it sent to the owner also. One of the other thing is that every transaction before it
happens the head offices found in the Ethiopia must approve.
2.2 Problem observed on the job on which you were assigned
Because of I was assigned to the job I didn’t get any problem on the job I was assigned and
Also almost we can say all finance actives are done in the Head office beside the petty cash
payments and but there are problems in the security issue that is not related to my job I was
assigned.

 All payments is done with accuracy and report is sent to head office
online. in case Error is done. It is also corrected online

 Waste of material going out From compounds is well Treated and relased
 All workers are well trained on with Respect to their occupation
Chapter Four Recommendation
As I mentioned earlier I haven’t observed any problem on the job I was
assigned.but as problem the company must work on his security issues.
