Honorable chair, Esteemed delegates.
Firstly, as Japan we want to say that we are so gladful because of being in this respected
United Nations conference. We are looking forward to working with all of you.
We want to pursue a peaceful policy with you in this agreement. Japan’s sea trade value is
approximately around 200 million dollars, so sea trades holds a significant place. And
because of that we need to be sure seaways are secure.We are open to every idea that we will
discuss.
