Where and when did the story happen?
The story happened at the Danish castle of Elsinore in the late Middle Ages.
What is the name of the dead King?
Hamlet is the name of the dead King.
What is the name of the Prince?
The name of the Prince is also Hamlet.
Where was he studying when the old King died?
Hamlet was studying at Wittenberg when the old King died.
What is the relationship between the Queen and Claudius?
Claudius was the brother of the old King. After the King died, Claudius became
the Queen’s husband which led to his holding at court.
Who saw the ghost first?
The ghost first appeared to Marcellus, and Hamlet’s friend – Horatio.
What did the ghost tell Hamlet to do?
The ghost asked Hamlet to avenge his death.
What is Hamlet’s reaction after he listens to the ghost?
He felt horrified for it confirmed his fear.
Why did Polonius always pay attention to Hamlet?
Because he wanted to gain the King’s trust.
Why did Hamlet pretend to be mad?
Because he might spy on his mother and uncle. Hamlet planned to feign
madness before the King and the court. The madness would render him invisible
so that he might observe and discern the best way and time for his revenge.
Why did Hamlet suffer from an emotional struggle?
Because he was pretending to be mad.

He tried to kill Claudius, but he failed.

Polonius was killed by Hamlet because Hamlet was startled when he yelled
