Clyde Onshore Wind Farm Turbine Internal Evacuation Plan
Introduction
This Emergency Response Plan has been produced for the use of persons involved in
Service & maintenance at Clyde Wind Farm. The procedures are designed to be simple
instructions providing decision support to personnel faced with emergency situations, and
are presented as a series of bullet points indicating actions required by specific personnel.
For personnel working on wind farm Installations, the purpose of the procedures is as follows:
∂
To ensure that the alarm is raised and that appropriate parties are alerted;
∂
To summon assistance from appropriate sources;
∂
To provide relevant information to those providing assistance;
∂
To ensure that the correct initial actions are taken at the site of the emergency.
For ease of reference, procedures relating to incidents and emergencies occurring on wind
farm installations are colour-coded yellow. Additionally, in the “person” column of the procedures, actions by workers on Installations are colour-coded yellow.
For the Wind Farm Manager the purpose of the Emergency Response Plan / Procedures
is as follows to:
∂
Ensure that appropriate SGRE Employees/Contractors and third party personnel are
notified;
∂
Provide the necessary support for personnel on Installations.
∂
Ensure an ongoing liaison with, and updating of, appropriate parties;
∂
Provide an overview of the actions required of all parties involved, for the purpose of
managing and coordinating the emergency response.
In all procedures, actions by the Wind Farm Manager are colour-coded red.
Procedures relating to incidents affecting the wind farm as a whole are colour-coded
green. Third party Contingencies are colour-coded orange
The Renewables Operations Centre shall be the first contact in the event of the
emergency situations detailed in this Emergency Response Plan
Restricted
T14.19-3
If the event requires reporting to the Operational Control Room (OCR) in Newcastle,
this will be done by the relevant Service Manager or nominated deputy, they shall
advise if next of kin are to be informed, then take guidance from the OCR on the
handling of the situation.
