Clyde Onshore Wind Farm Turbine Internal Evacuation Plan Introduction This Emergency Response Plan has been produced for the use of persons involved in Service & maintenance at Clyde Wind Farm. The procedures are designed to be simple instructions providing decision support to personnel faced with emergency situations, and are presented as a series of bullet points indicating actions required by specific personnel. For personnel working on wind farm Installations, the purpose of the procedures is as follows: ∂ To ensure that the alarm is raised and that appropriate parties are alerted; ∂ To summon assistance from appropriate sources; ∂ To provide relevant information to those providing assistance; ∂ To ensure that the correct initial actions are taken at the site of the emergency. For ease of reference, procedures relating to incidents and emergencies occurring on wind farm installations are colour-coded yellow. Additionally, in the “person” column of the procedures, actions by workers on Installations are colour-coded yellow. For the Wind Farm Manager the purpose of the Emergency Response Plan / Procedures is as follows to: ∂ Ensure that appropriate SGRE Employees/Contractors and third party personnel are notified; ∂ Provide the necessary support for personnel on Installations. ∂ Ensure an ongoing liaison with, and updating of, appropriate parties; ∂ Provide an overview of the actions required of all parties involved, for the purpose of managing and coordinating the emergency response. In all procedures, actions by the Wind Farm Manager are colour-coded red. Procedures relating to incidents affecting the wind farm as a whole are colour-coded green. In this situation there is time to evacuate: - Abort work; - Call the Wind Farm Manager/Service Manager or SGRE Emergency Number stating an emergency evacuation shall take place ∂ Evacuate the WTG as quickly as possible, seek refuge in service van/vehicle, remain in vehicle until there is confirmation that no thunder has been heard for 1 hour and no lightning is seen. If thunderstorm continues proceed to Site Office. In this way, you can get some additional information, such as local knowledge or inside knowledge of the company ∂ Pay attention to what is said - if possible try to gain the following information: When - will the bomb go off? Where - is the bomb placed? What - does the bomb look like; package, bag? Why - are you doing this (if possible name or group)? ∂ If possible, get someone to listen in. Bear in mind that the receiver is the only one who is in contact with the offender. When the caller rings off, dial 1471 (if that facility operates, and you have automatic number display) to see if you can get the number of the offender.
