NATSCI TIKTOK VIDEO CHALLENGE Eligibility: The contest is open to all students currently enrolled in any science subject or major at our university. Submission Guidelines: 1. Form a minimum of 5 members or a maximum of 10 members per group, create a TikTok video (1-2 minutes in length) that highlights the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration in science. 2. Your video should explain a complex scientific concept or problem and showcase how different scientific disciplines can work together to address it. 3. Be creative and engaging in your presentation, making the science accessible to a general audience. 4. Use the designated Science Month hashtag “#UMakNatSciWeekInterdisciplinary” Entry# ____/ Title: _____ to categorize your entry. Submission Process: 1. Prepare Your TikTok Video: Create your TikTok video according to the contest guidelines. 2. The professor will select and recommend his or her participants; 2. Registration of the participants will start from October 2-15, 2023; 3. A Registration fee of P50.00 will be charge. 4. An online registration link and additional details will be provided (c/o Prof. Laarni Santiago) and wait for your entry number. 5. Materials Provided: The organizers will provide each participant with an illustration board for the poster; Participants must bring their own art and coloring materials. Contest Guidelines: 1. All participants must gather at Room 615, November 7, 2023/ 8-12PM 2. Create a poster on the spot that visually represents the concept of interdisciplinary collaboration and its significance in addressing real-world problems. 3. Your poster should convey a clear and compelling message about the importance of scientists from different disciplines working together. 4. You may choose to focus on our theme: "Convergence Science: Bridging Boundaries for a Sustainable Future." 5. Use creative and artistic elements to make your poster visually engaging and thought-provoking. 6. Participants should bring their own coloring materials or tools (e.g., colored pencils, markers) to complete their posters. 7. The poster must be done freehand, without the use of digital devices or gadgets. Submission Process: 1.
