1.0 INTRODUCTION A few decades ago, the usage of technology in the classroom was extremely limited. Technology is now one of the most important aspects of a classroom. Teaching and learning have changed dramatically and the educational environment is more dynamic than ever before. Therefore today's learners are very distinct from whom our educational system was designed. So, it is the teacher duty to ensure a conducive environment for students wellness through the revolution. Ziwira (2015) defined a conducive classroom as a platform that allows free exchange of ideas. A classroom which as a community where everyone can voice out their thought while being handle and control by the teacher. So, in this essay, I will explain and elaborate more on to what extent technology able to assist teacher’s roles and creativity in enhancing a conducive learning environment in the classroom. 1 2.0 HOW IS TECHNOLOGY ABLE TO ASSIST TEACHER’S ROLE AND CREATIVITY IN ENHANCING A CONDUCIVE LEARNING ENVIRONMENT IN THE CLASSROOM Davies, et. al., (2013) have analysed a review of educational projects about physical environments involving school-aged children that can affect pupils’ creativity and communication between student and teacher. Based on my experiences, the modern studies space that students can face each other increased opportunities for interaction with other students, expanded freedoms for collaboration with each other. Which can result in more classroom discussion and better grades. In this 21st century, I have witnessed that the pod-style seating arrangement is famous among teachers. Pod style seating is where there is a table and six chairs facing each other. When the teacher redesigned rooms like this seating it can help to enhanced interactivity between pupils in the classroom and which can contribute to group work and effective communication among peers. When they are doing group work students' metacognitive processes of detecting and correcting errors in their friends’ answers may be aided by peer discussion. Together, the pupils can generate more new information and better answers than they would be alone by the guidance of the teacher. Hence, they will be able to be more creative when the seating position is arranged in pod style since they are facing each other while working out the answer. Therefore, teachers must have good organisational skills to ensure the pupils be able to be the best version of themselves. This was support by Ginsberg et. al (2007) Other than being passionate about some matters, being an effective communicator, possessing good arrangement skills and methods for engaging students is one of the faculty characteristics. Secondly, a visually attractive technology can help to motivated pupils in a classroom and leave more impactful learning. visual aids are educational tools that are used in the classroom to help students learn by making it easier and more enjoyable. This was supported by Baratta (2010) one of the most exciting and stimulated methods is visual learning. Since learning using visuals is fun and exciting, William (2009) stated visual information is mapped better in students’ minds. Rodger et al. (2009) stated Using visual aids can help the learning to understand the information though the information is presented in different ways like video, PowerPoint, diagram, images, games or posters. All of these have become excellent resources for teachers to assist students in quickly grasping a concept. It is true that visual explanations of concepts make learning more fun and enjoyable for students. They are able to take part more in class, and teachers are given the opportunity to make their classes more impactful and interesting. Furthermore, using visual aids in the classroom takes less time since the children are able to grasp the information quicker. 2 As a consequence, teachers will have much more opportunity to plan entertaining classroom activities and carry out effective teaching-learning activities. With the extra time saved, a teacher can devote more attention and time to kids who want extra assistance. While educating, there will also be a sense of control and direction. Even if the pupils are confused and have any questions, the teacher will be able to effectively guide them because the class was in control. Plus, the teacher already masters the subject area and will be able to answer any questions that arise without feeling stress. After that, technology using multimedia like an interactive slide or anything that pupils can interact with during classroom sessions can help students to engage with the learning session from the start until the end of class. This interactive method is in which the learner is considered as a participant who is required to perform specific actions. Their role is not only as of the listener or observer but they are in control of what is going on during the interactive moment. Wilson et. al., (2009) introduced games-based learning, such as game-based construction to engage children at the primary level. While playing the game the children can learn through interactive stories, games, and animations. This interactive project can help pupils glue to the learning session and can hinder them from disturbing their friends during the T&L session. Some pupils tend to lose focus when they are looking at text continuously without interacting with it. As a result, they will not pay attention and find other alternatives to entertain them like disturbing their friend. Therefore, this misbehaviour can be avoided by using interactive technology during the lesson since they are fully in charge of handling the slide and all of the hearing, smell, touch and sight senses are involved. Therefore, it is important to integrating technology like interactive projects while learning since pupils learn by active involvement. Then, to create a conducive environment in a classroom the teacher needs to focus on the facilities. The facilities include equipment like a projector screen and whiteboard. The teacher should put the whiteboard or projector screen where students can have a clear view of them. Moreover, the teacher should adjust the brightness of the projector to their pupils standard and where the student can see it the best. The teacher should test out this equipment a few times to make sure it fits in the classroom or not. When the student is given a clear view on the learning they will be able to maximize their potential. Hence, it is the teacher role to scan the classroom to find a student with special needs, These types of pupils often require extra attention from the teacher and they are often left out during the teaching and learning session since they are not 3 receiving enough attention that they want to. For instance, a teacher can keep a student with visual impairment or behaviour problem where the teacher can look at the most like in front of the class and near to the whiteboard and projector. Marx et al, (2006) student who sits at the back of the classroom are sometimes unseen by the teacher from those who sit in front of the classroom. Considering the importance of the classroom in a child's development, it's crucial to learn how to impact this environment in order to obtain the most effective organisational. 3.0 CONCLUSIONS In conclusion, teachers should remember that the classroom is a children's second home, so they should strive to make students feel as at ease as possible with the technology that is provided and make good use of it all. Teachers must strive to create a more conducive environment for participation and learning. A positive classroom atmosphere improves attention, reduces anxiety, and helps students regulate their emotions and behaviours. At the point when teachers encourage a positive learning society, students are bound to have higher inspiration, which prompts phenomenal learning results. towards building a solid class local area and fostering a flourishing learning society. Where each child has a sense of security to communicate their thoughts and furthermore embrace their mistakes as a journey toward success. 4
