The thesis is well written and following are the important findings; APPROPRIATENESS OF RESEARCH TOPIC Research topic is academically appropriate and adequate for the content. ORGANIZATION OF DISSERTATION/ THESIS In the whole, the thesis structure is relevant to the set goals, and in general it allows the author to produce reliable results. It is comprehensive and easy to read. The thesis comprise of 59 pages includes abstract, introduction, material and methods, result and discussion, conclusion and references. ORIGINALITY OF RESEARCH WORK: The originality of the student's research work is somewhat limited. While the thesis reflects a commendable effort, it primarily builds upon existing research and does not introduce significantly novel concepts or approaches. Encouraging the exploration of innovative angles and hypotheses would enhance the originality of their work. PRESENTATION AND INTERPRETATION OF DATA ACQUIRED: The presentation of data in the thesis is generally clear, but there is room for improvement in the interpretation of results. A more comprehensive analysis and discussion of the data, particularly in relation to the research objectives, would elevate the overall quality of this section. The presentation of tables in the thesis needs improvement. The tables are not constructed properly, which affects their clarity and the overall understanding of the data. Recommend that the student reviews and corrects the formatting and presentation of tables and figures to enhance their effectiveness in conveying information. REFERENCES AND CITATIONS: There are notable issues with references and citations throughout the thesis, as well as a lack of references for the methodology section. Many references are outdated, and the citation style is inconsistent and incorrect. It is recommended that the student update and correct all references according to the prescribed citation style and ensure that all sources are properly cited throughout the thesis. Additionally, the methodology section requires proper referencing to establish the credibility of the research process. QUALITY OF LITERATURE REVIEW: The literature review in the thesis is not up to the expected standard. It lacks depth and fails to effectively summarize and synthesize existing research in the field. Encourage the student to revisit the literature review, providing a more comprehensive and critical analysis of relevant sources to strengthen the foundation of their research. CORRECTNESS OF LANGUAGE: The thesis contains numerous grammatical errors and lacks proper proofreading. While these issues do affect the overall readability, they are not insurmountable. Suggesting that the student conducts a thorough proofreading or seeks assistance with language correction will significantly improve the quality of the writing. OVERALL COMMENTS: The student's thesis reflects potential and effort. However, it requires substantial refinement in various areas, including originality, references, literature review, tables and figures, and language quality, to meet the expected standards for an M.Phil. thesis. Encouraging the student to embrace the revision process and address these aspects will contribute significantly to the overall enhancement of their work. Maintain a supportive and constructive approach throughout the revision process, emphasizing growth and development. The manuscript is well written and research work is sufficient for degree in Chemistry and the candidate is recommended for the award of degree subject to completion of other requirements of the degree after incorporating minor suggestion indicating in the hard copy of thesis. After reading and examining the dissertation/thesis, I recommend that the thesis/dissertation be: Accepted with minor revisions which I don’t need to examine again.
