OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson, the pupils should be able to:
a. Cognitive: Identify the different Major Scales in Music
b. Affective: Appreciate the usefulness of Major Scales in Music
c. Psychomotor: Perform a specific Major Scale through the use of voice

B. REVIEW OF THE PAST LESSON
 Melody: Key of C Major
Illustrate the Key of C Major in ascending (upward) direction.
C. MOTIVATION
 Play two versions of the song Old McDonald had a Farm. Ask the pupils what they notice
while listening to the two versions of the song.
D. LESSON PROPER
 Show the pupils the illustration of the Key of the G Major Scale and ask the following
questions. Play the key of G Major using xylophone to show how a pitch changes when a sharp
key is placed on the staff.

E. GENERALIZATION
a. How do you differentiate G Major scale from C Major scale?
F. APPLICATION
Students will form a group of at least 8 members and each group will perform the G Major Scale
for 3 times using their voice. Each member of the group must represent an individual note using
the so – fa syllables. (Member 1 represents Do, Member 2 is Re and so on.) Criteria for judging:
50% Unity and 50% Vocal Pitch.

EVALUATION
Directions: Solve the puzzle. Put letters in the boxes in order to form a word by answering the clue
symbols or phrase.
V.
ASSIGNMENT
Direction: Here is a simple song entitled, Pagdating Ng Tatay, in the Key of G Major. Identify the sofa syllable of the song.
