How our Center is Benefitable for the Children and Families The children are exposed to outdoor play that helps them connect and play with nature The children are exposed to natural materials in the classroom that helps their perception of nature The children grow up to be well balanced in all areas as a whole Families are aware of the schedule at the daycare because it is consistent. Why we are Inspired by this Approach . Their routines are fixed and structured. This approach provides a homelike atmosphere for the children. It's like a home away from home. They involve more group play and centers. It is sensory base, experimental, and imitative. Center Design To create a cozy and welcoming ambiance, the structure of the building itself would make use of natural elements like wood, stone, and clay. The ideal situation would be for it to blend in seamlessly with the surroundings. The interior design would create a homelike environment with soft colors, warm lighting, and cozy spaces that feel nurturing and safe for young children. Large windows would let in lots of natural light, connecting the classrooms to the outdoors and fostering a positive learning atmosphere. Ample outdoor play areas with trees, gardens, and other natural features that encourage exploration and a sense of connection in kids. The teaching would be made up of individuals who have received Waldorf training and are familiar with its philosophies. The staff would be made up of educators with competence in a variety of fields such as the arts, music, movement and handcrafts. . OUR PHILOSOPHY A BRIEF HISTORY Rudolf Steiner was born in 1861 in Kraljevec Austria. He studied . Technology in Vienna and obtained his doctorate at the University of Rostock. He died in 1925. He believed in science and spirituality. He believed that children should be nurtured and educated as whole individuals. His first school in 1919 was based on the holistic theory of development and it was opened in the Waldorf-Astoria cigarette factory to provide education to the children of the employees. This name has since stayed, and all schools inspired by him is named Waldorf. At Starlight Hands-on Learning Daycare, we adhere to the Waldorf educational philosophy to offer a loving, holistic environment that encourages the growth of each child's individual potential. Our center believes that a child’s development is achieved through engaging in artistic, academic, and hands-on learning. We believe that every child has a special brilliance waiting to shine, just as stars illuminate the night sky. The foundation of our strategy is the conviction that the formative years are a priceless window of opportunity for discovery, wonder, and development. We are dedicated to establishing a welcoming environment where children can flourish intellectually, emotionally, and socially. Citations Kstreetpartners.(2022). Waldorf Education.
