As the world’s largest independent technology services provider, Accenture has
become a leading partner to many of the ecosystem’s key players, including Adobe,
Alibaba, Amazon Web Services, Blue Yonder, Cisco, Dell, Google, HPE, IBM RedHat,
Microsoft, Oracle, Pegasystems, Salesforce, SAP, ServiceNow, VMWare, and Workday.
Overall, the firm has more than 180 partners in its ecosystem. The company operates in
three geographic markets – North America, Europe, and Growth Markets.
Accenture is listed in the S&P 100, Russell 1000 Index, and Fortune Global 500.
As of 2022, it has approximately 8,200 patents and patents pending worldwide.
Accenture traces its roots to the accounting giant Arthur Andersen, operating as
the firm’s business and technology consulting division in the early 1950s. In 1989, Arthur
Andersen and Andersen Consulting became separate units of Andersen Worldwide
Société Cooperative (AWSC). Throughout the 1990s, there was increasing tension
between the two units, with Andersen Consulting paying Arthur Andersen up to 15% of its
profits each year – a provision of their split – despite being in direct competition as the
latter established its own business consulting service line.
This dispute came to a head in 1998 when Andersen Consulting put the transfer
payment for that year and future years into escrow and issued a claim for breach of
contract against AWSC and Arthur Andersen. In August 2000, with the conclusion of
arbitration with the International Chamber of Commerce, Andersen Consulting broke all
contractual ties with AWSC and Arthur Andersen. As part of the settlement, the firm paid
the sum held in escrow, worth $1.2 billion at that time and was required to change its
name. It then changed its name to Accenture, which was derived from the phrase “accent
of the future.”
On its initial public (IPO) offering in 2001, Accenture’s shares began trading on the
NYSE, with Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley serving as lead underwriters. On the
first day of the IPO, Accenture raised almost $1.7 billion. In 2009, the company changed
its place of incorporation from Bermuda to Ireland and would become Accenture plc.
Accenture would then grow to become the world’s largest professional services
company, acquiring several leading businesses and forging partnerships with various
corporate behemoths, including tech giant Apple Inc. By the end of the 2021 financial
year, Accenture’s headcount had topped 624,000 while revenue reached $50.5 billion.

JOB ROLE AND DESCRIPTION
Accenture as an organization may help. Accenture is an Ireland-based consulting
and Information service company. It is headquartered in Dublin, Ireland. It is listed among
the Fortune 500 of the world. It provides strategy, consulting, digital technology,
marketing, branding, and other operations services.
Its clients include 91 companies of the Global Fortune 100, and more than a
quarter of Fortune global 500. It has offices branches around the world and works
worldwide. As per the 2020 stats, it has more than 5,14,000 employees.
Technical Hierarchy: Accenture Job Roles
As with the other IT firms, Accenture also follows the grading or tier system called
levels. There are 13 levels in the technical area of the company. Some levels are further
divided into two or more sub-levels.
Level 3 and Above
The positions above the 3rd level and above are higher positions like Chief
Technical Officer (CTO), Vice President and Chief Executive Officer, etc…
Level 4 Managing Director (MD)
This responsibility is the one who takes the final decision when it comes to the
technical area. He/she has high responsibility and makes communications both inside
and outside the company to ensure the efficient working of the technical team. This level
is the one who checks whether the consultancy or software solutions provided are as per
the company’s rules.
Level 5 Associate Director
A director is mostly involved in the administration and decision-making works than
the technical ones. Associate Director is the one who substitutes the presence of the
director.
Level 6 Senior Manager
As explained previously it is just a senior position provided for those who are more
experienced and potential. The pay and the responsibility increase once you become a
senior manager. And this is the last or highest managerial position in Accenture.
Level 7 Manager or Principal
The role leads many teams leads and hundreds of Engineers and Analysts. He/she
is the one who talks with the client and plans the project or product and assigns the tasks
to the respective teams.
Internship Narrative Report at Company Accenture Philippines
By Janella Rose T. Basa
Level 8 Associate Manager
As with the Associate Engineer, it is all the learning phases. A technical expert will
slowly get to know about the business and administration in this phase. You will be
promoted to a manager or next position based on your performance.
Level 9 Consultant, Team Lead, or Specialist
After your period of Senior Analyst, you will be promoted to either of the three
based on your skills and performance. If you are on good terms with the team, you will be
a Team Lead, and if you are an expert, you will be promoted into the Specialist or
consultant.
Level 10 Senior Analyst
It is not much different from the previous one; you will be promoted to a Senior
Analyst after 3 years of experience as an Analyst. It means that you are aware of all the
challenges of the respective field and more experienced to handle them. There is an
increase in salary between the Analyst and Senior Analyst positions.
Level 11 Analyst
Once you become an Analyst your responsibility begins. You should be able to
involve in different projects and train the associate or Assistant. The resource will be
involved in the projects of the company as per the instructions of the Senior Analyst or
Team lead.
Level 12 Associate Engineer
This from where you will be involved in the real work. You will be given tasks or
assignments by the Analyst. Or you will assist the Analyst to finish the project in the hand.
Here you will be exposed to the different situations so that you can analyze yourself.
Mostly you will be promoted from this position after 1 or 2 years if you do well.
Level 13 New Associate or Assistant
This is an entry-level position. You will be hired as an Assistant when you are a
fresher who just graduated. It is mostly a temporary position where you will be like a
trainee who learns and adapts to the work environment. You will be promoted to be
Associate after the 6-8 months of the training period.

Narration of Accomplishments and Learnings
We had a class orientation with our OJT coordinator throughout my first week. Distributing the
narrative report's form, keeping track of students' progress, particularly those who haven't started
their work, and responding to questions from students who have run into issues with their accounts.
I started right away on the Salesforce CRM, Salesforce Platform Basics, User Authentication,
Prepare Your Salesforce Org for Users and User Management. My weekly report for salesforce
modules provides insights into the key modules that have been utilized for enhancing customer
relationship management and sales performance. This report is crucial for companies that rely on
Salesforce as it helps identify the specific modules involved, along with their usage and
effectiveness. Furthermore, the report presents an analysis of the data gathered, offering insights
that can be used to optimize salesforce module usage and improve customer engagement.
This week was a great and productive one for our Salesforce module. We had some updates,
enhancements, and announcements that will make developers and partners happy.

For the 2nd week we had a general orientation to check on how our OJT is coming along, address
any queries or problems we ran into while working, and call the attention of those students who
haven't yet started their OJT. I immediately finished the Data Security, Identity Basics, Control Who
Sees What, and Activity Management. People are vulnerable to being hacked and having their
identity stolen. I learned that you could take charge of this risk and protect yourself. "Data Security"
refers to the techniques that we use to safeguard data from being tampered with or accessed by
unauthorized personnel. Data security and identity basics are important today. With the recent leak
of National Security Agency leaks and the many privacy breaches, it's hard to know exactly who you
can trust. But there are some precautions that you can take to help keep your personal information
safe and secure. The instances of data security breaches have been on the rise. I learned how to
control who sees what on your profile and how make sure your personal information is safe.

Narration of Accomplishments and Learnings
My 3rd week of OJT I started working on Security Specialist Superbadge, Data Modeling,
Formulas and Validations, Advanced Formulas, Lightning Experience Customization.
I learned the difference between standard objects and custom objects also the different types of
object relationships and their typical use cases. One of the most important aspects of data modeling
is ensuring accurate validation. Validation is the process by which a system checks to see that data
entered in forms or stored in tables meets certain criteria before it can be accepted. The purpose of
validation is to prevent errors resulting from invalid data recording. The fact that validation is a critical
element of data modeling means that it is essential to knowledge and expertise in the field of data
modeling. The purpose of validation is to prevent errors resulting from invalid data recording. The
user should never have to spend time figuring out why a field was left blank, or why a value was
rejected. A user should never have to spend time trying to figure out how an error occurred because
an alien string was entered for an ID field. I learned to write clean, easy-to-understand formulas for
complex use cases and how customize the Lightning Experience user interface without writing any
code.

Narration of Accomplishments and Learnings
My 4th week I started working on Customize a Salesforce Object, Data Management, Duplicate
Management, Import and Export with Data Management Tools, Reports & Dashboards for Lightning
Experience. The Salesforce platform provides a Data Management page with some tools and
features. However, there are many types of challenges that users may face as they work with the
platform. I learned how to use specific data management features and services in Salesforce to
customize an object, data management, duplicate management, import/export data in an excel
spreadsheet, reports, and dashboards for the Salesforce Lightning Experience. Data syncing is a
very useful feature that allows users to add, edit, or delete records in an external system (such as
an excel spreadsheet) and automatically update any related records in Salesforce. Data syncing
can save time when you must modify multiple records because the bulk updates can be done quickly.
Users can sync data from record types such as leads, contacts, accounts, and other custom object
types. Import and export with data management tools, reports & dashboards built for lightning
experience. For Salesforce Lightning Experience, there are some powerful new features to help us
import and export data. One of the most interesting is Data Management Tools in Reports &
Dashboards. It lets me import external files like Excel or CSV in my Lightning Experience Reports &
Dashboards. That means I can now bring in data from other applications into the Salesforce
interface.

create a report, dashboard folders, on how to create a simple custom report and filter my reports. I
also learned on how to group and categorize my data, on how to summary the formulas in my
reports. I learned how to manage reported data and to visualize my data. I also learned on how to
build an approval process ensure that critical records are reviewed by the right people at the right
time, to create initial submission actions, and specify the final approval and rejection actions. I
learned to manage users and optimize business models for efficiency. Process Builder is a workflow
tool that helps automate business processes without writing a single line of code.

For my 6th week even though I ran into some challenges along the way, I managed to finish it on
time. I learned to build, test, and distribute flows to automate your business processes, explore flow
builder and learn when to use flows to automate your business processes. I start building flows to
automate business processes using Salesforce records and use logic and formulas to control the
paths and variables in a flow. I also learn the basics of record-triggered flows. I learned to build
screenless flows launched by a button, a schedule, or other automation and create automation that
guides users and interacts with them. It also teaches me on how to build custom pages for Lightning
Experience quickly with point-and-click tools and build an app for sales reps in the field. It helps you
to understand how the Lightning App Builder can help you build responsive apps and custom pages
for Lightning Experience and the mobile app.

Narration of Accomplishments and Learnings
I had a difficult week because most of the modules and challenges are hard. The requirements for
this superbadge are somewhat extensive. I encountered a problem that required several hours to
resolve, but I was still able to finish the task. My week started by completing app exchange basics,
business administration specialist lightning experience reports & dashboards specialist also the app
customization specialist and process automation specialist superbadge. This week has the longest
and hardest list of my modules. I feel like I have better understanding of how they work. I learned
how to read and write reviews, and how to manage license and subscriptions. It tests my knowledge
of the Salesforce platform as it relates to business administration including user setup, security and
access, data management, and analytics. Also, the report and dashboard creation, data
visualization, and data analysis. I also learned about find creation, page layout design and custom
app development.

March 13 to March 17, 2023, 40hrs total from Day 36 to 40
Narration of Accomplishments and Learnings
I finished Salesforce DX's four modules and one project to kick off the week. The four modules are
Org Development Model, Package Development Model, App Development with Salesforce DX, and
Package.xml Metadata Management. As soon as I finished the four modules, I got to work on the
one project Quick Start: Salesforce DX. This module tests my knowledge of how to use the
Package.xml file to manage metadata deployments and using Salesforce CLI and deploying
changes to scratch org. I learned the Salesforce DC from basic concepts to advanced practices. It
demonstrates the proficiency in using Salesforce DX to develop and deploy apps on the Salesforce
platform. The Package Development Model is designed for customers who want more control over
package metadata but do not have an editing or modeling tool outside of Developer Console and
don’t need programming skills. The Component Development Model is designed for developers
who want control over the source code of a package, but also want to leverage the full capabilities
of Salesforce DX to manage metadata. I believe that Package.xml metadata management is
essential for Salesforce DX developers who want to share an application with other developers in
their organization.

March 20 to March 24, 2023, 40hrs total from Day 41 to 45
Narration of Accomplishments and Learnings
I got overwhelmed from this since it was mostly coding. But when I tried doing it, it was easier than
I thought. Especially with the guides provided in the modules. However, I encountered an error in
Quick Start: Unlocked Packages because the code provided in the modules was not updated to
match the current version that I need to install. I waited for a few days for it to update and I was able
to complete the challenge immediately. Unlocked Packages, a feature that allows developers to
create and distribute modular, reusable packages of Salesforce metadata. I learned to create and
deploy a simple unlocked package and manages dependencies between packages. I learned how
to write Apex code, basics syntax, data types, and control structures. On apex triggers I learned
which are code blocks that are executed before or after records are inserted, updated, or deleted in
Salesforce the trigger anatomy, trigger context variables and bulk triggers. Apex is the most popular
development language on Salesforce. With Apex, developers can create custom features and
functionality that are not available in the standard Salesforce package. It's also a great tool for power
users to add new features without being developers. This Modules is designed to help you build my
Apex coding skills from the ground up. Each of these modules is designed to help me develop my
skills in a specific area of Salesforce development, from basic syntax and control structures to more
advanced topics like triggers and packages.

Narration of Accomplishments and Learnings
This week, I was able to quickly complete the Apex Introduction module because I had completed
some of the challenges from the previous semester. The remaining challenges were not as difficult
as the previous challenges, but they were still challenging. With Apex testing, you can execute
tests on the command line and through a UI that's embedded in the developer console. By default,
it is coupled with asynchronous Apex execution, which lets you test code that runs on a schedule
or when an event occurs. You can also use it with Apex integration services, which lets you write
tests to validate backend data and logic. With Apex Integration Services, you can create custom
integrations between Salesforce and external systems, allowing you to pull data from external
systems into Salesforce or push data from Salesforce to external systems. I learned on how to
create custom applications or integrations including the querying data, creating, and updating
records, running tests, uploading, and downloading files. This is essential for developers who want
to build robust and efficient applications on the platform. Whether you are writing code, testing,
integrating with other systems, or using the command-line interface, Salesforce provides a
comprehensive set of tools and services to help you get the job done.

Narration of Accomplishments and Learnings
For the 11th week, Apex Specialist superbadge proved to be the most challenging for me because
it takes a lot of time to finish each prerequisite and because I made so many mistakes. I also
searched the internet for additional guides, and with the help of several videos, I was able to finish
the superbadge. With Visual Studio Code for Salesforce, developers can now build and deploy
apps on the developer edition of the platform. There are many benefits to using this editor. I’ve
already started to learn Visual Studio Code. Apex is a new way to get started with Salesforce
development, and it’s easier than ever. Apex is a programming language for building businesscritical apps for Salesforce. It is a standard, managed API that you can use to build your own
custom Salesforce applications. I learned to create custom objects and trigger Apex code from
within my CRM. Apex is the primary language developers write their custom applications in. While
Visual Studio Code can work with this programming language. This superbadge is designed to
help me develop specific skills and knowledge related to Salesforce development. Whether I’m just
getting started with VS Code, looking to expand my Apex skills, or learning how to work with
JavaScript, this superbadge provide a structured, hands-on approach to learning.

April 10 to April 14, 2023, 40hrs total from Day 54 to 58
Narration of Accomplishments and Learnings
For week 12th I just finished the apex introduction, and I am now going on to the lighting web
components modules, which are a good place to start learning about Visual Studio and JavaScript.
I Completed the Lightning Web Component modules for this week. Since most of the codes are
present in the provided challenges, I found this to be a little easier. Even though I basically need to
copy and paste the codes, I tried to comprehend them and how they work. I learned the new features
that enable to create customer-facing components using Salesforce data, with reusable markup and
styles in external files. They create encapsulated components that render on web pages with
minimal JavaScript integration, operate in asynchronous mode with no page refresh, and include
built-in accessibility features like ARIA support. Lightning Web Components is the next step in
Lightning development. It's an entirely new way to create mobile-first, JavaScript-driven apps for
desktop and mobile. With Lightning Web Components, I learned that you don't need a server your
app is packaged and deployed as a single HTML file.

I successfully completed the entire lighting web components module and the entire list that
Accenture gave us during the last week of my on-the-job training at Accenture. I finished most of my
modules this week, so this was the last stretch for me. The Lightning Web Component Specialist
Superbadge was the last module I took. Mostly code, but I managed to finish it. I can state with
satisfaction that my on-the-job training with Accenture Philippines was worthwhile. I learned to create
a new component using the lightning map component to display the location of the bears on the
map. Lightning Web Components are a new framework for building web components on the
Salesforce platform. They are designed to be easy to use, but issues can arise. Salesforce provides
a detailed guide on how to debug and communicate between components. Web accessibility is the
practice of making web content and applications accessible to all users, and Salesforce provides a
comprehensive guide to coding for accessibility.

CHAPTER III: CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
Conclusion
As a graduating student who is currently pursuing Bachelor of Science in
Information Technology Major in Business Analytics. The course requires that we do
internship training in order complete the credits on our last semester and to get
experience in the working world. And this kind of internship training will allow us to develop
our skills and be successful in future professions.
After my OJT, experience has proven to be the most beneficial learning tool for
me. It served as a steppingstone for me as I pursued my goals. Despite the short period
of time my OJT experience was useful.
Upon completing the number of hours and modules needed for my internship
training my experience was the best. My critical thinking was expanded and my logical
was tested more than I expected to do finish my modules. During those days I overtime
just to finish my codes or repeating from the beginning just to understand properly how it
run. Challenging but a lot to learn.
Internship training was not really an east task at all. I learned from this task that
working is not an easy job and that people differ greatly from one another. It motivates
me to think about everything I do in my everyday life as a student today and as
professional in coming years with more courage and determination.
This internship training helped me a lot in developing my personality as well as
boosts my self-confidence at work. Despite the challenges and issues, I encountered it
was productive and entertaining. It significantly improved my knowledge and skills. It
significantly improved my knowledge and skills. It gave me the courage to face the
challenges that come my way after graduation. This will serve as my steppingstone
toward achieving all my goals in life.
I want to express my gratitude for completing my internship training under
Salesforce Program at Company Accenture Philippines. I gained a lot of knowledge
through the modules that served as environment for growth and development. I’m looking
forward to applying all what I have learned in my future.

Recommendation
On-the-Job Training is vital and essential for students because the program
expands their knowledge while helping them in developing their skills and critical thinking.
OJT is the first step in giving students real-world experience. The student can apply the
knowledge gained from their years of academic study into practice and discover that there
is still a lot to learn.
Furthermore, OJT offers companies the chance to hire students who are flexible,
intellectually current, and goal-oriented, which serves as a source of employment.
Each student must pay close attention to their task. They should seek assistance
if they do not understand something. It is up to you to take the initiative if you want to
learn something. Deal with your problem calmly to ensure a successful outcome.
I can only advise the potential OJT student to maintain moral standards at work
and to constantly remember to be disciplined. Take OJT seriously because it will be very
beneficial to them in the future. These traits are necessary for a successful and
meaningful OJT experience.
