Internship Report MECA 200 – Summer Practice I Name: Ahmad Safour ID: 121207020 Institution Name: Kudus Otomasyon Department: Classic Control Table Of Contents: • Introduction • Information about institution • Information about the hardware and software used • Duties that were signed to me • Professional Skills Gained • Assessment • Conclusion • Some Components used Introduction Applied work is a significant part of any educational or professional practice agenda, specifically in the field of engineering. While academical examination feed students with a foundation of knowledge, applied work has them apply this knowledge in real-life environment, helping them develop useful skills, problem solving and critical thinking. Unlike theoretical studying, practical work involves hands-on experience, where students can experiment, test, and refine their ideas and techniques. This type of learning is particularly valuable in engineering, where the goal is to design, develop, and implement new technologies that meet real-world needs. Training in an engineering company offers students a unique opportunity to apply theoretical studies into practice and discover for themselves the challenges and opportunities of the engineering industry. Students can benefit from working with experienced professionals to comprehend the real-world application of engineering principles, stay informed about the latest technologies and industry trends, and develop the technical skills necessary for a successful career. My overall experience will be provided in this report as working in an engineering company. Information about institution Classic and industrial control that is specialized in programs production lines, solar energy field, safety and alarm systems. So many types of faculties in an organized workshop, helpful environment to work in with good supervising support. Great location in Istanbul too with good transportation choices. Understanding engineers is easy because they’re young and full of knowledge in their department. Information about hardware and software All hardware contents that can be used in a classic control system were provided in this institution such as circuit breakers, overload relays, contactors... etc. No software system was used by me. Duties that were signed to me - Design power and control diagrams In this department, I design and develop several diagrams to know how the cables will be connected with all devices. This is the most complicated department of the company. So, in this department I learnt a lot from my supervisor the most important basics I will use. It was a bit difficult at first as it was a new topic to me but then I got used to it and mastered it. - Connecting and starting control systems There were many duties that were signed up for me in this department, but this was an important one to have and learn. After designing your power and control diagrams you must apply it in the real-life world, to complete your work you must do both and connect all cables and devices you are using. Professional skills gained 1- Technical skills: I learned the technical aspects of classic control and production, I also learned about the different types of every device and component I used and how they function. 2- Quality control skills: I learned about quality control measures that are used in classic control, including how to ensure that units meet safety and performance standards. 3- Communication skills: I learned how to communicate effectively with coworkers, supervisors, and customers, which is important for any job. 4- Time management skills: I learned how to prioritize tasks and manage your time effectively to meet deadlines and achieve production goals. 5- Safety skills: I learned about safety protocols and procedures that are used in production and control to ensure that workers are safe while on the job. Assessment It had been an unforgettable training time during which a group of highly skilled and informed engineers shared knowledge and experiences with me. I was able to witness the application of what we learn throughout our lives on paper and computers during this time in my life. The organization treated me very well and gave me a precise schedule for the days, hours, and training segments. Additionally, it supplied the tools and attire I needed for the factory visit. Conclusion Last but not least, the 20-day training program at this production firm was an enjoyable journey that gave me a variety of skilled abilities. I developed technical skills in the control system, including knowledge of their devices and their workings. I also improved my quality control abilities and learned how to guarantee the performance and safety requirements. Furthermore, by working well with coworkers and managers, I enhanced my communication and teamwork abilities. Additionally, I improved my problem-solving abilities and learnt how to recognize and resolve production-related challenges. Safety regulations and procedures were also given a lot of focus in the training program, which was essential for providing a secure working environment. Overall, the training course provided me with a useful chance to improve my skills and experience how working in real-life would be. Some Components Used
