Topic: Creating a Prototype: Miniature Circuit Breaker System under Household Loads
Problem: In Power Quality, electric overcurrent can be dangerous and damaging. It can cause excessive
heat generation, melting of insulation, and the potential for equipment damage or burning. Circuit
overload can cause the breaker to trip, cutting off the power supply and potentially causing a short
circuit that could lead to a house fire due to melted wiring.
Proposed Solution: Our proposed solution entails creating a circuit breaker that can detect
predetermined overcurrent values based on household loads. The Circuit breaker system can monitor
and control switching of power from utility banks such as Meralco to renewable sources such as solar
panel.

Topic: Creating a Prototype: Smart GPS tracker Device for Kids
Problem: In the current times, theft and kidnapping cases have risen significantly, with 85 cases filed in
2022. In addition, parents face anxiety when their children wander off. It's crucial to provide more
supervision for both children and elderly family members who may leave the house and become lost
without being able to find their way back.
Proposed Solution: GPS trackers allow parents to track their child's location in real-time, providing
peace of mind and helps alleviate parents high concern on their children’s safety.
