INTRODUCTION
To effectively use integrated chips (IC), you need to know details such as the pin
assignments of an LM555 Timer, the maximum supply voltage of a 74LS08, or
detailed IC information. These details are examples of crucial information available in
the manufacturer’s datasheets.
In this activity, you learn how to access—and extract information from—the
manufacturer’s datasheet for several components commonly used in digital
electronics.
Procedure
Throughout this course, you use an ever-increasing list of integrated circuits.
You will need to access datasheets for these circuits. Since the focus of this
unit is the Random Number Generator design, we will find the datasheets
for each integrated circuit used in that design

Using the web, locate the manufacturer’s datasheet for each of the
following integrated circuits. Print the connection diagram and
function table of each IC from pages 1 and 2 of each datasheet.
