Example: snap crackle pop Hyperbole An exaggeration that is so dramatic that no one would believe the statement is true. Tall tales are hyperboles. Idiom A phrase that has a literal (words on paper) meaning but its’ message is figurative (picture in your mind) Example: Bite off more than you can chew (To take on a task that is way too big.)
