When using gas or firewood machines, basic safety precautions should always be
followed including the following:














Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs to operate.
Close supervision is necessary when being used near children.
Allow hot parts to cool down before moving or cleaning.
Do not operate the machine if it is malfunctioning or damaged. Contact us for

Using any accessories or attachments not provided or recommended by the
manufacturer may result in injury.
Do not pop grains in a dry tank (without water).
Tank surface and its cover should not be touched during the popping process or
just after use.
The machine should be installed in a dry and place.
Do not use machine for anything other than the indicated usage.
To avoid overheating, always have water and seeds ready before operating.
Extreme caution must be used when unloading corn, always use trigger.
The machine that is in use should not be left unattended.
This machine will not shut off automatically. To avoid overheating, add corn and
water before operating.
Extreme caution must be used when unloading popcorn or maize so that residual
heat running out will not cause burns.
NB ALWAYS WEAR PROTECIVE CLOTHING WHEN OPERATING THE
MACHINE

DESCRIPTION OF THE CORN POPPING MACHINE
1. It consists of a rotating barrel with a mechanical inlet and lead suspended on a
swinging bar.

NB. MAKE SURE YOUR FIRE IS WELL MADE AND WITHOUT UNNECESSARY WASTAGES

Open the barrel lead using the swing bar
Tilt the barrel to loading position using tilting pin and lock it at 45° angle.
Load your corn using calibrated tin. Weight should not exceed 15kg.
Add a cup of water of +- 500ml.
Undo the pressure bolt.
Close the lead and lock tilting bar using the trigger pin.
NB. Do not attempt to close the lead before unscrewing the pressure bolt you
will damage the threads that hold back the pressure.
7. Tighten the pressure bolt using trigger pin.
8. Light up your fire
9. Position your old tyre to absorb shock of the swing bar on trigger.
10.Start to rotate your barrel manual.
11.Note your gauge as it rises.
NB: Approximately a loaded tank takes between 25 – 30 minutes to reach release
pressure of 8 to 8.5 bars first shot when it is still cold
12.Stop rotating and replace the rotating pin.
13.Clear people in front of the machine. Warn people around about your need to
trigger the machine.
14.Using a trigger handle pull down trigger.
15.Immediately scrap off the remaining maputi out of the tank.
NB: Do not let the pressure gauge rise beyond ten bars. If this happens shut the gas
immediately and trigger off without delay.
