①Business idea 1. Interior Design Studio. a. Since we reside in a subdivision, I deem it possible to try and put up an interior design studio. We can market tiles, wallpapers, and other products related to interior designing of house. This business idea is also not just for newly constructed houses (who may have contract with professional interior designers), but also for minimal renovations a house-owner may want to carry out. b. This entrepreneurial idea was based on changes in environment (specifically, industrial and societal environment), and people’s interest. As I mentioned earlier, we live in a subdivision construction of houses and renovations may happen from time-to-time, which can be a contributor in our business idea. c. This business idea may help in terms of convenience. If we try to start this business, it would take lesser time for the customers to shop since they are already practically neighbors with the shop. d. In our area, there aren’t really shops that market house elements (designs). And also, as I said earlier, convenience for the customers. 2. Study with Coffee. a. For all the years I have lived in this subdivision, one thing I noticed was the high number of students residing here. We cannot deny that studying at home can sometimes be stuffy, and I figured, as a student, it is sometimes great to study elsewhere, with a great ambiance, and coffee. That being said, it may be possible to open a small, cozy coffee shop, designed for students’ learning. The shop would be divided into two sides; one for learning and one for hanging out with friends. b. This entrepreneurial idea was based on changes in environment (specifically, industrial and societal environment), and people’s interest. I noticed that students, nowadays, like to drink coffee or such drinks, and is usually leaning to something aesthetic so I suppose that this type of business would be appreciated. In addition to that, since we all live in the same area, most of the residents were familiar, or even friends, with one another which could contribute to the popularity of business. c. The business could provide a new experience for the students and a more convenient and comfortable place to study. It also provides a good place for drinks which were getting more and more popular these days. d. The shop would be fully-equipped with things necessary for the students’ learning such as WIFI connection, printer, school supplies, etc. We could also opt to provide one desktop at the corner of the shop for academic purposes. This shop would be the go-to place of students when they encounter problems. 3. Alfresco Food Business. a. Our family consists of hidden chefs. Cooking is one of their hobbies, and of course, who says no to food? In our subdivision, we could open a small, alfresco dining that serves variety of food choices. It could be main course dishes, desserts, or pastries; it could also be a variety of cuisines, from Northern to Southern cuisines. b. This entrepreneurial idea was based on changes in environment (specifically, industrial and societal environment), and people’s interest. As I said, I’m from a family of hidden chef (excluding me, my specialty is eating), so putting up a food business is not really troublesome. And since we live in a subdivision, which does not have any food businesses inside, customers would not be a problem. There is also a market, which is not very far from the subdivision where supply of ingredients would come from. c. This business idea provides convenience to the residents. We sometimes feel lazy to cook, especially when it had been a long day or us, so this food business may extend a hand. It can also provide a good place for relaxation and a new environment to the customers. d. The shop could opt to have different menu for each day to ensure variety of flavors that could suit the cravings of customers, if ever. Also, we decided to have an alfresco design for the shop since it is particularly windy in our place and could contribute to the over-all ambiance of the place.
