ROUND 2 - KNOCKOUT MATCHES • 3 knockout matches. • Eliminated teams receive quarter points. • 3 teams advance to Round 3. ROUND 3 - FINALIST SELECTION • The top team from Round 2, based on standings, becomes the first finalist. • The remaining 2 teams from Round 2 play a semifinal match. • The team that loses the semifinal match will earn semis points. • The winner of the semifinal match becomes the second finalist. • The final winner and runner-up are determined in the championship match. RULE BOOK GENERAL RULES • The class with the highest cumulative score will be the “Fresher’s Cup-2023 Champions”. • Certificates will be issued to all registered players of Winners, 1st Runner-up and 2nd Runner-upTeams. • C.R of respective class has to be a Point-of-Contact for each section. • PoC’s have to nominate a Captain for each team (PoC for that game). • No student can register for more than 2 sports (For Boys Only). • Carry ID card (Hard Copy) at all times. • Standings will be given through NRR for cricket, time remaining for chess and Kho-Kho and points difference for remaining all games. • In case of tie at the final tally, Combined score in Cricket, Football, Basketball, Volleyball & Throwball will be the evaluation criteria to declare the winner. • Fixtures are made with careful consideration of all factors, requests for change of schedule are not entertained. • Decision taken by the organizers is final at any point of conflict. • Freshers’ Cup committee reserves the right to change any of the rules without prior notice.
