Buổi 1 Speaking Part 1: Study Do you work or are you a student? (I’m currently a high school students at one of the most long-standing schools in my province) What subject do you study? (Like I’ve mentioned earlier I’m still a student, so I need to follow the school curriculum, which includes some subjects such as math, english, literature, science, to name but a few) What job do you hope to do after finishing your studies? Why? (I’ve always dreamt of being a teacher. The reason is simply that I love the feeling of imparting my knowledge to others, which can help them improve their academic performance) Teacher Would you like to become a teacher? (yes, I’ve always wanted to become a teacher. There’s just a simple reason is that I love the feeling of imparting my knowledge to others) Who was your favourite teacher when you were a child? (I was kinda into a teacher called Huyen, she is my math teacher and I love her dedication in teaching her students. Besides, she’s also my role model because I’ve also wanted to be a teacher like I said earlier) How did this teacher help you in your study? (I was a bit slow on the uptake at that time, especially in math which requires logical thinking and she was the one who helped me overcome such a difficult time by explaining to me everything about the lessons little by little) Speaking Part 2: Describe your favourite teacher You should say: What this teacher looks like What sort of person this teacher is What this teacher helped you to learn And explain why this teacher is your favourite. Describe an intelligent person Who the person is What he or she does Why you think he or she is intelligent And explain how you feel about him or her Who the person is: Her name is Linh and she is one of my classmates also my best friend. I stumbled upon just a year ago when I first entered my high school. At that time, I was quite nervous as I had little to no accquitances here and I was just sitting on the bench and surfing the internet to kill the time waiting until I can meet my head teacher. But all of a sudden, she came up to my place and said hello. After that we became friends She pass almost exams with flying colour and I really admire that. Solve every of my problems -> I bad at math -> she always give me a helping hand -> and she got all of the answer correct She’s also very active in learning. What I mean is she often raises her hand in the class to answer the questions that the teacher gave all of us. And I think that’s the reason why she is so brilliant Buổi 1 1 Describe someone you would like to study or work with. Who this person is How long you have known this person What you have done together And explain why you would like to study/work with this person Speaking Part 3: Schools the qualities a good school teacher needs (firstly I think teachers should be patient with their students. as seen in the way they patiently listen to their students’ thought and opinion and give a clear respond to them, which can make students more well individuals. Sencondly, kind and encouraging are sth essencial for most teachers. It creates a warm, open learning environment, which facilitate learners’ studies by making them comfortably expressing themselves and being no long afraid of going to schools like many of them do nowadays) how modern technology can make lessons more exciting (with the proliferation of technologies, it is no longer difficult to make intruguing lessons. Just with the internet connection, we can access a wealth of applications which offers an interactive environment for students such as quizzie, kahood. They all require students to use their own knowledge to answer all the questions appearing on the screen and it is more fun compared to traditional method where students have to answer directly by speaking in front of the class. Plus, some schools can’t provide students with a physical lab. It makes the process of learning more difficult than ever. But with the internet, teachers can easily play videos related to that lessons. This makes students have a more profound perspective about the lessons that they’ve learned) Learning 1. the benefits of learning in a class with learning alone Learning in a class offers a interactive environment for learners, which can make them more active in learning resulting in such a good studies outcome. Aside from that, teacher in a class can be your biggest assistance in learning. Whenever you encouter sth difficult, you can easily turn to your teacher for help. Regarding learning alone, the most outstanding benefit that I could tell is that people can easily concentrate on their work. What I mean by that is you are no longer distracted by all the background noises at physical class and that’s a good thing. Plus, when people learn on their own, they can set their own schedules. For example, they can choose which is the best time to study, evening or morning. It can make them feel much better because it can cater to their preferences and interests. 2. skills a good learner needs to develop Technology and learning 1. how computers can be used in the classroom It depends on the person who use it. First, for students, they often utilize the computer to search for information which fit their studies. Sometimes they use it for making a presentation in front of the class. But for teachers, they mostly use it for making lessons to show their students and sometimes they can turn on some videos related to the lessons that the class is learning, which can help students have a more profound perspective on everything that they’ve learned. Lợi ích của online learning: don’t have to travel long -> save time -> have more time to prepare for their studies -> result in good marks - Easily search for information and videos related to therir learning, which help improve overall knowledge Tác hại - Health problems such as weakend eyesight -> using too much/ pain in the back for sitting for a long time Technical problems such as the loss of internet connection which hinder the progress of learning, potentially resulting in bad outcome in student’s studies Buổi 1 2
