Statement of purpose Zohaib Ali 03049179922 Ajmera, Battargam Pakistan As Dr. Seuss said “The more that you read, the more things you will know, the more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.” I am Zohaib Ali hailing from Pakistan. I want to pursue my Master study in biotechnology/ Bioengineering my motivation towards Biotechnology developed when I was in 10th class I learned a chapter about Biotechnology, which is the field in which we manipulate living things for human benefits via Genetic Engineering at that time I was thinking about this field. I am interested in Biotechnology because it revolutionizes every field for benefit of human beings by using other living organisms via modern techniques. Actually, I am a person who likes novelty an innovation to serve humanity. I attained my Bachelor degree in Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering from Hazra university Mansehra with excellent academic records. Throughout my Bachelor's degree I participated in different extracurricular activities such as different conferences , sports , Social events and joined different societies which give me exposure to different people and built leadership skills which give me the confidence of facing every challenges and constraint to tackle it. During Bachelor’s I did internship at National Agriculture Research Center Islamabad which enhanced my practical skills. After completing of Graduation I joined National Institute For Genomic And Advanced Biotechnology, National Agriculture Research Center Islamabad as a Daily pay labor (skilled) in Gene Transformation lab in the Project of Dr. Sabahat Noor Senior Scientific Officer she assigned me the responsibilities of DNA, RNA, Plasmid extraction, PCR , Tissue Culturing, Microbial Culturing as well as project documentation. From here I learned the Molecular techniques and how to sole scientific problem. Being DPL my interest is increase to further gain expertise in the filed which is impossible with out further study and I decided to pursue Master in Bioengineering but financial problem paused into my journey that’s why I am applying for this scholarship which evoke this constrain and allow me to fulfil my dreams. Nanyang international scholarship is the hope for me to pursue my study at Nanyang technology University Singapore. Nanyang University is known from its reputation and research excellence. I believed that after studying from this institute I will be able to faces every challenging and resolving scientific problems. After getting Scholarship I will Join the Microbial Natural Product Biosynthesis & Bacterial Signaling Laboratory to work with Dr. Liang Zhou-Xun on genome guided discovery of microbial natural products. Scholarship not only fulfil my education dreams it also give me the opportunity to work for the reputation of the university and with assistance of Dr. Liang Zhou-Xun we’ll bring our research at industrial level which would be better for the economics growth. My motivation toward Biological Sciences drew due working in Biotechnology lab and the beauty of the field and its services that revotionalizes today worlds with useless organisms for human well being. Nanyang is the place where I will achieve the goals of genome-guided discovery of microbial natural product and its commercialization that would be economicallay beneficilal Thank you so much for your consideration.
