A: What is your plan for catering to audience’s perspectives (3 marks)
1. Use engaging language and examples: To capture the attention of this audience, it is
important to use language that is engaging and relevant to their lives. We can use
examples that highlight the impact of water scarcity on their community, such as the
impact on local agriculture or the availability of safe drinking water.
2. Discuss the role of technology and innovation: University students are often interested in
the role that technology and innovation can play in addressing complex problems. We
can discuss the potential for new technologies and innovations to help conserve water and
improve access to safe drinking water.
3. Provide opportunities for action: University students may be more likely to engage with
an issue if they feel that they can make a difference. We can provide opportunities for
students to get involved in addressing water scarcity in Pakistan, such as volunteering
with local organizations or participating in awareness campaigns.
B: Based on the list of topics, the information you have collected on your audience and
setting, you are ready to select an appropriate topic. Specify a topic for your speech. The
selected topic should be appropriate for the audience level. You should make sure that they
learn something new from your speech.
Go over your topics and see the complexity level of these topics according to your audience.
Eliminate them the ones that are too complex or too easy for t=you target audience.
Are some topics likely to bore the audience and you can’t think of any way to pique their
interest? Eliminate them.
