The undersigned is currently enrolled in the MASTER OF ARTS IN NURSING in the College of Nursing of
Wesleyan University - Philippines. One of the requirements of the degree is (50 hours) INTENSIVE PRACTICUM
IN NURSING ADMINISTRATION, with the following objectives:
1. Utilize principles and theories of leading and managing/supervising health facilities.
2. Participate actively in actual work settings in the Nursing Supervisor’s Office.
3. Observe the best qualities/practices of a leader manager/supervisor exhibited by the health care
facilities/hospital administration.
4. Interact with the facility staff members through observation and shadowing and learn from them the best
practices in leadership and management.
5. Review, synthesize, and apply the theories and concepts learned in their graduate courses through actual
observation and handling of situations using leadership and management skills.
6. Analyze the procedures and systems utilized to gauge the effectiveness of patient care in inpatient wards and
units.
7. Evaluate the leader(s) observed using the indicators for effective hospital leadership toward the improvement
of oneself in the fields of management and leadership of health facilities/hospital.
8. Apply the various mechanisms and strategies of staff utilization and evaluation and development.
9. Submit a journal of experiences/anecdotal narrative of practicum experiences—the Practicum Journal. In this
regard, I am confident that I can achieve the above objectives if I can have my practicum in your prestigious
company/organization.
