Trinity Group Chairman Akol Ayii Receives Prestigious MIPAD Hall of Fame Award for
Class of 2023: Global Top 100 under 40 Under Business and Entrepreneurship
Juba, 4th October 2023 – Akol Ayii, the Chairman of Trinity Group, has been honoured
with the highly prestigious MIPAD (Most Influential People of African Descent) Hall of
Fame Award for the Class of 2023, in the Global Top 100 under 40 Under Business and
Entrepreneurship category. This remarkable recognition marks a historic moment, as
Mr. Akol Ayii becomes the first-ever businessman to receive the Hall of Fame
recognition. at MIPAD from South Sudan.
This year Lifetime Achievement Awards were given to Nicole Brown, President of Tristar
Picture Sony Pictures Entertainment, Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director
General, World Health Organisation, Robert Smith, Chairman & CEO Vista Equity
Partners and Richelieu Dennis, Founder Executive Chair & Head Inter, Sundial Group
of Companies.
The MIPAD Honorees are individuals who are recognized as changemakers in key
leadership roles across more than 60 countries. They are selected based on their
political influence, outstanding business acumen, substantial social media following,
and significant humanitarian contributions supporting the UN International Decade
for People of African Descent.
MIPAD is a globally renowned organization dedicated to identifying and celebrating
high achievers of African descent in both the public and private sectors around the
world. It serves as a progressive network of influential individuals who unite in the spirit
of recognition, justice, and the development of Africa and its people, both on the
continent and across its Diaspora. MIPAD leverages its global network of influencers
to mobilize support for Africa and its diaspora to achieve the 17 United Nations
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
MIPAD is a decade-long initiative established by the United Nations General
Assembly. It provides a solid framework for the UN, its member states, civil society, and
all relevant stakeholders to unite with people of African descent and take effective
measures in the spirit of recognition, justice, and development.
