Because theatrical makeup design requires you to be a student of observation, you will collect a variety
of pictures that illustrate information important to a makeup artist. Student should include with each
assignment makeup face charts, images of research and actual application pics.
Charts & Organization—Full color charts with brand and color information or swatch. Keep In a 3-ring
binder or folder keep your makeup charts. Where necessary, include organizational tabs to separate each
section and category.
RESEARCH PICS--You can find pictures on the internet and/or use your own photos from experimenting
with application techniques. Images should be of a useful size, showing detail, and in full color or
black/white.
APPLICATION PICS--You will keep a photo record of all the makeup applications you complete during the
term. These will be organized in your binder/folder. If you require assistance printing these in full color,
please contact me and email me all your photos. I will print them, but you must send them to me in a
timely manner since the pics will probably require editing and sizing.
Self-paced Samples for EVERYONE–Choose 4 makeup design charts and create applications.
Skill Building project/assignment–Not for everyone. Choose other 6 makeup design charts and create
applications.
Research Assignment–See instructor. Not for everyone.
