Vowels and Consonants
Among 26 letters of English alphabet, five letters a, e, i, o, u are called vowels.
The rest of the 21 alphabets are called consonants.
Countable nouns are the names of items that can be counted.
Examples: apples, oranges, books
Uncountable nouns are names of items that cannot be counted.
Examples: rice, water, milk
Indefinite Articles: a, an
an - used before singular count nouns beginning with a vowel (a, e, i, o, u) or
vowel sound:
 an apple, an elephant, an issue, an orange
a - used before singular count nouns beginning with consonants (other than a, e,
i, o, u)
 a stamp, a desk, a TV, a cup, a book
