Professional Implication and Usage Communication serves as the link between the public and the government, as it also affects how individuals interact with one another. When I hear the word politics, the phrase "authority" that refers to having power or control over anything comes to mind. We may see this behavior in school, we are aware that professors have the power to make decisions inside the classroom with the students being able to give their feedback. It is like we can communicate our opinions while still being aware of who has the final say. In terms of workplace, everyone in the same setting is aware of and bound by the barrier between the higher-ups who make decisions and their subordinates. Furthermore, transitioning from school setting to professional environment, the foundation of information and awareness we established about communication and politics during our academic years might have a big impact on how we apply it in the "real world." It is shown in a Business News Daily article how good political behavior benefits the company. This workplace politics refers to actions intended to persuade people in a way that benefits the company as well as the person playing the role, or that involves using one's position of power or authority. BND claims that it can be utilized to foster positive working connections, enhance performance and behavior, and incite change. Hence, positive political conduct will ultimately boost employee morale and engagement. Workplace politics, for instance, can be advantageous if individuals demonstrate good behaviors and positively influence others. However, certain unethical political practices must be avoided, such as taking advantage of another person, spreading rumors, chatting behind someone's back, and omitting key details are just a few instances of this. The top executives set the tone for the company's culture and political atmosphere. I will make sure to exhibit appropriate political behaviors once I have entered the environment where I become an employer of a respectable organization. These behaviors include (1) acting morally upright for the benefit of the entire business; (2) establishing strong relationships with the staff; (3) implementing strict policies that support open feedback; and (4) communicating with and not isolating oneself from other workers. After all, the success of the company significantly depends on the work of every employee, highlighting the significance of understanding the fundamentals of knowing how to effectively use the connection between politics and communication in the professional world. The aforementioned information indicates how the relationship of communication and politics in a certain aspect influences the satisfaction and atmosphere of the workplace. Each employee has the goal of acquiring, enhancing, and using resources and power to achieve a desired result. These traits are a few appropriate strategies to be a successful employee who shows positive political behavior and is a good communicator. Acquiring power, enhancing efficiency, getting acknowledgment, resolving conflicts, advancing personal goals, maintaining self-interest, generating income, and establishing power contacts are some of the purposes of organizational politics. Persuasion and interpersonal communication are common abilities that politicians learn throughout their careers. They must be good at these to earn power and trust, which may be employed in a wide range of professions. We can say that communication leads to the development of organizational politics, and the latter leads to a company's growth and survival. Along with the authority and trust that politics incorporates, democracy is also part of it. If there is workplace politics, there must also be workplace democracy. Workplace democracy is a method for encouraging public participation in a government's political system. A more functional democracy can be achieved by transferring the knowledge and abilities learned by means of workplace democracy to improved citizenship. This involves encouraging the employees to vote when making decisions, asking the opinions of everyone if they have better solutions, maintaining open communication, and providing a suggestion box for individuals who want to share their thoughts anonymously. Establishing a democratic workplace fosters an improved work environment, however some fail to adhere to this standard. Democratic practices grant citizens several rights, which can be used as a framework for achieving social well-being. The existence of democracy boosts employees’ morale, improves engagement level, promotes organizational values, and attracts talented workers due to the flexible working environment. I agree that employees are the asset of every company, and thus individuals in higher positions must understand and be aware about the proper way to care for employees. The most desirable places to work are ones that care about their people and value worker involvement as a means of attaining corporate goals. Hence, the term politics is so broad that it can encompass a variety of concepts that are not all about governing a country. Interactions, authority, interconnectedness, comprehensiveness, and persuasion are some of the terms that describe it. Politics cannot be separated to communication since it needs interaction among people to function effectively. Alexander (2015) elucidates that effective communication is critical for individuals seeking political power in two ways. First, it is the reason that elects men to the nation's workplaces, and it is effective communication that allows men to exert control over the direction and activities of the government, as well as integrate specific thoughts and values into national laws and regulations. In a competitive world, the candidate seeking election must establish visibility. He battles for the attention of the voters not just against his opponents and portrays acceptable public behaviors. With that, I envision myself as an employer who practices the ethics and value of politics and communication. Their relationship provides a significant effect on how we gain the trust of other individuals. These two terms exist even when we are not conscious of them, whether in government, house, or workplace. The fundamental knowledge we gained throughout our academic years is utilized in the working environment, serving as a foundation for appropriately exercising our rights wherever we go. Thus, the implication of politics and communication acts as a means of connection and individual's discipline. References Alexander, H. (2015). COMMUNICATIONS AND POLITICS: THE MEDIA AND THE MESSAGE.
