Student Induction Program (Day 8) Session 14 : History and heritage of Mysore and Karnataka The session was held by Dharmendra Kumar arenahalli sir at 10:00 in the morning. Sir told about Sri naalvadi Krishna raja wodeyar and sir M.Vishveshwaraih and their dedication to their work. During the period of Naalvadi Krishna raja wodeyar Mysore was the seventh prosperous in the whole world. During the time Krishna raja wodeyar he has started many schools and colleges and he told that 'every child should go to school' and also for blind he started Braille code. During his period KRS dam also constructed. Session 15: This session was by Smt. Bharthi who is the member of ICC (internal complaint committee). She spoke about harassment and about ICC. And also said there was no report of ragging till date in our college. This was continued by Dr.Manjunath who is the member of anti ragging committee. He said that ragging should be not done in colleges as it does not provide good environment for students to study. Session 16: The last session of the day was cultural activities. An opportunity was given to all those who were interested in cocurriculum activites to exhibit their talents.So many of them came forward to entertain and exhibit their talents like singing, acting and I got an opportunity to show my dancing skill .Thanks to all our lecturers who encouraged students. -Sinchana KM 2
