India, as we all know is one of the largest and the most diverse
countries in the world. Be it different world-famous places to visit,
different cultures to learn about, many languages to be introduced to,
our country has it all. At the end of the day, these are exactly the things
that a traveller looks for while planning his or her next vacation.
We start with the capital first. New Delhi is the place to be if you are
looking for a mix of both, history as well as modernity ranging from
famous monuments to sumptuous street food. Delhi always gives the
traveller a rollercoaster of mixed experiences.
Next, we come to one of the most popular tourist destinations across
the world, Goa. Goa is known for its breath-taking beaches and is also
the go to getaway place where people go to just relax and take their
minds off their busy hectic lives. As it is famously said, a person who
has not been to Goa at least once along with friends, has certainly
missed out on something amazing.
Heading further south, we reach the beautiful state of Kerela also
known as God’s own country. Famous for its calm and soothing
backwaters, a houseboat ride in one of these gives a true experience
of the ‘floating hotel’.
Not mentioning Munnar while talking about the south would be great
injustice to the place. With beautiful valleys, vast tea plantations,
Munnar offers a wide range of picturesque landscapes.
The Ranthambore National Park is a must visit especially for wildlife
enthusiasts. It is home to about 74 tigers and various other wild
animals.
India boasts many historic monuments with a rich history to each one
of them, but nothing tops the majestic Taj Mahal. The city of Agra is
home to this magnificent jewel and hence is a popular tourist spot for
travellers from across the globe.
Tradition and culture are an integral part of our country, and the holy
city of Varanasi is the pilgrim’s home. One must visit the city for inner
peace. When it is lit up, only a few places in the country are as
beautiful as Varanasi.
The next destination also known as ‘The land of the kings’ is all about
its prestige and royalty. It is none other than the state of Rajasthan up
north. Full of beautiful forts and palaces all over, Rajasthan is known
as one of the most colourful destinations In India. Hence, a visit to
Rajasthan is never dull for any traveller.
To conclude the list, we cannot help but include two more world
famous destinations. Heaven on earth, Jammu and Kashmir, and
Amritsar in Punjab. One seriously does not feel like coming back after
visiting these two marvellous places. Now that’s something we all
should experience at least once in our lifetime.
